message. >> if you're going to attack americans we're going to find you and bring you to justice and we now have the capability to do it. >> reporter: despite that americans are being warned that more attacks could be coming. and the travel alert for americans retires on january 11 january 11th. all right, thank you very much megan. and a surprising twist in another foiled terror plot. shocks the courtroom by admitting today he tried to blow up a plane as it landed in detroit. this so called underwear bomber pleaded guilty during his trial. he will now spend the rest of his life in prison. a deadly massacre inside a hair salon outside los angeles and started shooting. 8 people were killed and one is in critical condition. officers arrested a suspected

gunman and found several weapons in his car. he is the alleged husband of one of the stylists. a man is in the hospital tonight after a brutal beating in northeast baltimore. police tell us someone attacked him with a baseball bat. he suffered serious injuries and police are still looking for that attacker. a pasadena teenager is gone in an instant when she loses control of her car along a wet road. tonight the community mourns. 17-year-old kayla austin is just the latest victim of a road many call dangerous. >> reporter: the father of kayla austin overcome with grief. it was just after 7:30 in the morning when workers nearby first heard something wrong. >> we heard a bang and then we saw that the car was there. >> reporter: surveillance cameras at a nearby business captured the entire accident. kayla was driving eastbound when she lost control, crossed

over into westbound traffic and ultimately slammed into this abandoned home. >> she slid in front of 5 or 6 cars. we saw it on our cameras. >> reporter: not only is this stretch of mountain road busy, neighbors say it is also treacherous. tributes to other accident victims line the road not far from the latest crash site. >> it's a dangerous zone. >> reporter: neighbors complain the road bends where most of the accidents have happen happened and they say the middle turn lane changes to -- during. >> about 4:30 it starts, it looks like the daytona 500 here. they drive 60 miles per hour down the road. >> reporter: police now investigating whether speed and we had roads may have been a factor in kayla's crash.

mayor said mrs. model understood the value of baltimore's cultural assets. well, the blackberry black out gets worse. 70million are suffering outages. the company says a crucial link in its infrastructure and back up both failed. customers have been without e- mails and instant messages and may not be fixed until tomorrow morning. the state is adding a 667 area code for the eastern shore. that's because they are running out of available numbers. the new digits will be given out for new phone numbers only starting in march. great news for baltimore's grand prix lovers. the grand prix will return to the city next labor day weekend. pat warren has reaction to the news and the changes some people want to see.
