be at hopkins. still wearing her south poll cover alls, she was all smiles knowing she was under the care of doctors. >> excellent care and it's the best choice that i have done. >> reporter: hard to imagine two weeks ago, he was here isolated recovering from a stroke with no medical care. >> i'm going to say i wasn't scared at all. >> reporter: she didn't start to worry until bad weather would keep help away for months. she had vision, speech and memory loss. >> i just did not stay there and wait. i totally advocated for myself. >> sought out ways to challenge her vision. >> reporter: two months later a plane would take her from antarctica to new zealand. then she was just anxious to get to hopkins. >> everybody takes a look at me and says you look pretty well.

the final and possibly most important witness for the defense is back on the stand in the trial for michael jackson's doctor. karen reports from the court house in los angeles. >> reporter: a propofol expert testified the amount of drugs that doctor conrad murray should not have been dangerous. the dose that we're talking about here, that is a dose that might be used to produce anxiety relief or sleepiness. >> accused of giving him a fatal dose. but doctor paul white first focused on the

sedative lorazapram. a key witness didn't consider the levels that may have accumulated in his body after days of use. and the singer may have taken it orally. >> the theory we've proposed is a lot more rational and would represent a more appropriate clinical situation. >> reporter: the defense surprised the prosecution with new computer models of what they say happened. so the judge gave prosecutors the weekend to prepare for their cross-examination. the state spent four weeks and called 40 witnesses in laying out the case. prosecutors tried to show the cardiologist was reckless. and that he should have never been giving jackson propofol. the case is expected to go to the jury next week.

now, first weather complete forecast and first warning of severe weather. >> our clouds are moving into the region. i was checking records. the record snow fall for october back in 1925, 2.5 inches. we're going to approach that in some areas for sure tomorrow. that's where the bulk of this will fall tomorrow. come down very heavy for a few showers. very nasty cold horrible day. right now pretty mild considering 48 but the dew point is down at 28. that means up in the clouds it's 28 degrees. when it's 28 degrees up there, it can lower the temperatures at the surface down

into the low to mid 30s. it drags that cold air down. 34 in oakland. 49 ocean city. down at the beaches, a lot of wind, but mainly just rain over the next 12 to 18 hours. north and west of town, that's where we're going to see snow amounts. northern carol county up in this region maybe 3, 4, 5 inches can fall in the city. same down in dc. east winds right now turning more northeast and north. that will allow the colder air to come back in. going to move off the coast, going to come off the coast. basically be winds starting to come off the ocean. the ocean is warm so right along the coast is going to be too warm for snow to accumulate. with our cold air coming down, you can see

friday they announced a slew of charges against him including first degree murder. >> wasn't like we had an eyewitness. this was putting the pieces together. >> while looking for a killer, detectives uncovered details about him. in june 2009 he was deported from frederick to el salvador. but after that federal agents say he snuck back in. >> everybody i know is up in arms about it. there's a lot that needs to be done. >> reporter: it was after he entered the u.s. illegally for the second time, he got a job at the burger king. he had been laid off for several months when i came back to rob it. >> so close to home. we've lived here for 7 years. >> they worked together at the burger king in the past. they don't know if he was targeting her or just out to get cash.
