live over the scene. see the roof over the main part of the building. it's collapsed. the damage is extensive. this will leave a hole in the middle of this baltimore neighborhood. flames lit up the skies in mount washington when a 2-alarm fire broke out at the tavern. >> we were worried about the structural integrity of the building. >> reporter: the restaurant, a fix your in mount washington village. the interior decorated with art and antiques, chandeliers that date back to 1800s. for patrons it's more than a historic landmark. >> you always go there and see people you know. me and my parents spent christmas there together. >> when we bought our house, the day we signed, my husband and i came here for dinner in between the signing for the celebration because it's an

icon. >> reporter: owners say we are down but not out. we look forward to rebuilding and being better than ever. >> reporter: live with a picture from the chopper 13 , the chimney of the building is still standing, the exterior walls are standing but inside heavy, heavy smoke and water damage and fire damage. the cause of the fire is still under investigation. this are some investigators on the scene now trying to pin point exactly how this started. there were no injuries in the fire. also, this restaurant really books up quite early for the holidays. a lot of people had plans here for holiday parties and the restaurant is urging people to contact them and they will try to make alternative plans for all of the folks. if you have been to mount washington tavern, people here, they are stories about it and memories and people are reminiscent about the tavern. adam may, wjz 13, eye witness news. >> the scenes were totally

saturday in october here the weather has calmed down, thank you very much. take a live look outside, sunshine, blue skies and crisp temperatures and first morning weather coverage, marty bass. bernadette woods is in the first morning weather center. good afternoon, happy halloween and people want know what is going to be for our trick or treat forecast. we started at 30 degrees. it was cold. we are rebounding nicely, up to 53 already. we will show you knot going on around the region. when we open it up it's a little bit different. there are two different parts to the storm moving our way. neither as strong as this weekend's event. they are going to have effect for some of us. for more, out to marty bass in the outback. >> reporter: thank you very much. good afternoon, let's look at a graphic we got for you. clouds increase through the

afternoon. probably mostly cloudy tonight keeping us a teeny bit warmer than the past overnight. you saw on first warning doppler, showers to the south and east. see the repulsive rain off to the south and east. it is not impossible, there is the repulsive rain, back to the graphic. look to the north and west, see a little more shower activity associated with a low that's going to pass by to the north. i don't think we will see a ton of rain. as a matter of fact, we will end up being mostly rain free. do understand we will be bookended northwest and southeast. for the most part, a pretty darn good weather event for halloween, 2011. meteorologist bernadette woods with the details coming up shortly. back inside. it should be a happy one for ravens fans after a trick of a first half. the treat was the biggest come back in team history in the second. here is sports director, mark viviano, with the details of

two different ravens performances. >> reporter: for a second straight game, the ravens offense looks horrible in the first half, but unlike the monday night mess at jacksonville, this time the ravens finds a way to rally at home against arizona. the first half falllies included two turnovers, a fumble and interception, both led to arizona touchdowns. the cardinals rolled in to baltimore and held a stunning 24-6 lead at half. the second half come back included a number of long passes from joe flacco to bolden. those connections would help set up three touchdown runs by rice. still the ravens needed a score to break a tie in the final minute. flacco to smith for 36 years, setting up the field goal in the final second to cap a 30-27 come back win. >> we couldn't be putting our

not going to get to our averages but tacking on a few more degrees. don't think hagerstown is reading exactly right but 39 degrees out there. the winds are light. going to turn around to the southeast as two different parts of the storms move our way. at this point there is one over the midwest, and there is a bunch of moisture to the south. both moving in our direction. sounds familiar. neither of these are as strong as a saturday event. we are not looking at what we saw on saturday. we are looking at more clouds coming in. chance for a couple of showers tonight in to tomorrow morning and that gets out by tomorrow afternoon. there is a chance of a shower, but it will be after trick or treating hours unless you are on the eastern shore. gets out of here wednesday, sunshine returns and temperatures start to go back up again. the forecast looks like this for today. going to 55 degrees. sunshine to increasing clouds and tonight 39 for our low.
