the newest allegations of sexual harassment against him. the fourth woman is the first to go public. cheryl says cain made a sexual advance back in 1997. her allegations are explicit and specific. >> he suddenly reached over and he put his hands on my leg, under my skirt and reached for my genitals. he also grabbed my head and brought it towards his crotch. >> in an appearance on the jimmy kimmel show, cain denied the charges. >> at least it wasn't one of the many that had the first name anonymous. so now this one actually had a name and a face. >> susan mcginnis is in washington with much more on this. good morning, susan.

>> betty, good morning. now an accuser with a name and a face. this is going to accuracy the calls for herman cain to come forward and answer all the questions. he still flatly denies this and he will set the record straight. herman cain will hold a press conference in phoenix today to fight the latest sexual harassment allegations against him. >> i want you, mr. cain, to come clean. just admit what you did. >> reporter: monday, sharon became the fourth woman to come forward, but the first to go public. in graphic details, she described how cain touched her inappropriately when she was looking for work. >> i was very, very surprised and very shocked. i said, what are you doing? mr. cain said, you want a job, right? i asked him to stop and he did. >> cain insists he's never sexually harassed anyone. >> there's not an ounce of truth in all of these accusations. >> reporter: he tried to clear the air last night on jimmy kimmel live and promised this would not derail his track to the white house. >> here is one thing people don't know about herman cain.

i'm in it to win it. and i will not be discouraged. >> reporter: the scandal does appear to be impacting cain's campaign. according to a new poll, about 35% of republican voters now say they have negative feelings about him, up from 18% from a month ago. >> even though he has been shown to be leading in the polls or up there with mitt romney, there's some anecdotal evidence that his poll numbers are dropping. >> while some political observers say cain will have trouble bouncing back, the presidential hopeful says voters have the final word. >> betty, so far, cain's republican rivals are steering clear of this one. >> susan, aren't there reports this morning of yet another woman coming forward? >> reporter: yes. this is coming from the washington examiner. there's a woman, donna denella quoted in there having worked for u.s. aid and she talked about an incident in egypt in 2002 where herman cain gave a speech. he asked her to hook him up with

a woman who asked a question. he said, could you put me in touch with that lovely young lady who asked the question, the question at the speech, so i can give her a more thorough answer over dinner? and danella tells the post she was uncomfortable with that and didn't do it and cain said then you and i can have dinner. danella said she never experienced or witnessed any inappropriate sexual behavior. again, this is all coming from the new york post quoting donna danella. >> we haven't heard the last of this, susan mcginnis in washington. susan, thank you. today is election day across the country. in ohio, a key industrial state critical in the presidential election, an important vote on union rights that's drawn national interests. voters have a chance to appeal a law that curtails collective bargaining rights. polls predict a win for the union. on the ballot in mississippi, there is a referendum that would define a fertilized egg as a person. the so-called personhood amendment is the first of its

kind. passage of the amendment would effectively outlaw abortion in the state and set up a major legal battle 37. today, more severe weather is expected in oklahoma. yesterday, a string of tornados touched down in the southwest part of the state. at least three twisters were spotted. several buildings were damaged, but no injuries were reported. meanwhile, another hurricane hit hoot earthquake hit oklahoma last night. the 4.7 magnitude quake was the third magnitude quake to strike there in three days. dr. conrad murray plans to appeal his conviction for involuntary manslaughter in michael jackson's death. murray was convicted yesterday and is being held until his sentencing at the end of the month. sandra hughes reports. >> reporter: dr. conrad murray was found guilty of involuntary man slaughter in michael jackson's 2009 death. the judge said murray is a risk to society. >> dr. murray's reckless conduct

in this case poses a demonstrable risk to the safety of the public. >> reporter: the jury sided with the prosecution. they agreed murray delivered a fatal dose of propofol. >> our sympathies go out to the jackson family at this time for the loss that they have suffered. not a pop icon, but a son and a brother. >> reporter: jackson fans and supporters erupted in cheers outside the courthouse. >> we had no doubts. that's why we're here. >> reporter: family members have been in court throughout the trial. jackson's sister, latoya, expressed her joy. >> michael was watching over us. >> reporter: jurors deliberated less than nine hours. murray's lawyers left the courtroom without commenting. the defense tried to portray jackson as an addict, desperate for sleep. they claimed murray was a victim of michael jackson. >> he was a little fish in a dirty pond. >> reporter: dr. murray faces up to four years in prison. murray's medical license will be

suspended and he could lose it for good. sandra hughes, cbs news, los angeles. the former penn state coach charged with sexually molesting eight young boys is due in court tomorrow. jerry sandusky says he is innocent. two penn state an administrators are charged with perjury for failing to tell about the allegations. and legendary head coach joe paterno, who alerted his superiors is taking heat for not doing more. pennsylvania's top policemen says he has never seen a case like it. >> this is not a case about football. it's not a case about universities. it's a case about children who have had their innocence stolen from them. >> paterno has not spoken publicly on the allegations, but holds his weekly news conference today. coming up on the morning news, a very big day for gamers.

all right, everybody. we are in for a close encounter today with an asteroid the size of an aircraft carrier. but tonight, it is expected to pass within 200,000 miles of us. that's the good news. it's still, though, closer to the moon. no asteroid has come that close in 35 years. nasa scientists say they are 100% confident it will not hit us and that, of course, is a good thing. but if it did, an impact in the ocean would create 70-foot high tsunami waves. an impact on land would be the equivalent of a 4,000 mega ton blast. but again, it's not going to hit us. and you can bet there is no alien life on that asteroid. the white house said monday there is no evidence that extra

terrestrial creatures even exist. they made the response after 5,000 people signed an online petition demanding to know whether e.t. has landed on earth. but they did say there could be life somewhere in the universe. on the cbs money watch, the tables are turned on bank of america. a judge says they owe customers money. ashley morrison is here with more on that. good morning, ashley. >> and good morning, betty. today is a big day for the european debt crisis. finance ministers met late into the night in brussels for talks on how to ease the crisis. today, the greek cabinet convenes to discuss their interim government while the italian parliament votes on their deteriorating finances. ahead of all that, most asian markets struggled. japan's nikkei was down almost 1.5% while hong kong's hang seng was flat. today, wall street tries to add to monday's gains. after a late day rally pushed stocks higher. the dow gained 85 points while the nasdaq packed on nine. more homeowners are having trouble making their mortgage payments.

the credit agency transunion says from june to september, payments late 60 days or more rose for the first time since the end of last year. two or more missed payments is an early sign of possible foreclosure. americans cut back on using their credit cards for a third straight month in september. but we did borrow more to buy cars and pay for college. experts say this latest report to consumers are still being cautious about taking on high incident debt in the weak economy. more than 13 million bank of america customers may have some money coming their way. on monday, a federal judge okayed a $410 million settlement that claimed the bank chargesed excessive overdraft fees. the lawsuit covers customers with b of a debit cards with january 2001 and may of this year. most will only get a fraction back of the fees that they paid. and gamers all over the world today are hearing the call. the blockbuster game call of

here is a look at weather across the country. miami, partly cloudy, 82. chicago, rainey there. 60 degrees. dallas will see thunderstorms, as well. 75. l.a., a sunny 69. time now for a check of the national forecast. the latest satellite picture shows storm clouds racing into the plains. it's mostly clear in the northeast as well as the southeast. later today, though, hail, rain and the threat of a tornado will hammer arkansas and missouri. the northeast has above normal temperatures and it will be chilly in the desert southwest with highs only in the 50s. in sports, the bears rally to beat the eagles. in the third, chicago's matt forte fumbles for the second time and the scramble for the ball. the eagles recover and that leads too a 33 yard romp to give the eagles the lead. but the bears come back in the fourth to beat the eagles, 30-24. tomorrow is another deadline
