police they're looking into it now because apparently, some of these allegations took place in texas. so this, this investigation goes on and on and on. now, not only in pennsylvania but also in other jurisdictions. >> across the country. more than five week after their sister lisa irwin disappeared in kansas city her two older brothers have been interviewed by police. lisa irwin disappeared from her bedroom a month ago. detectives have run out of places to look for her. they said their investigation continues behind the scenes, today is little lisa irwin's first birthday. whomever is responsible for kidnapping washington national's catcher wilson ramos, has the not issued any ransom demand. ramos abducted wednesday at gun point in his native venezuela. abc's pierre thomas tells us more. >> reporter: wilson ramos was having the best year of his life. rookie catcher whose raw talent rocketed him into a starting lineup in the big leagues.

of the president's jobs agenda. this as it but as noncontroversial as it gets. tax incentives for businesses to hire veterans. republicans were on board because this wasn't paid for with tax increases on the rich. after a stalemate of nearly a month, the senate finally passed the first piece of president obama's jobs bill. >> on this vote, the yeas are 95, the nays are 0. >> reporter: the measure provides businesses with tax incentives. to hire veterans. the bill provides assistance for job training skills as veterans return from service and transition back to civilian life. >> we need to make efforts to -- help veterans who have been fighting for us, come back to the country and not have to fight for a job. >> reporter: the unemployment rate was 12.1%, well above the national average of 9%. up from 10.6% a year ago. >> it's a national disgrace. >> reporter: senators from both parties were

went through unfair foreclosures are getting help. this veterans day. the justice department announce aid deal for military mortgage holders whose homes were illegally foreclosed upon. bang of america will pay $20 million to 160 service members who unfairly lost their homes. each service member can expect at least $116,000 under the settlement. very good news. >> good news. >> good news on this veterans day. the latest in the penn state sex abuse scandal the university says there have been multiple threats against assistant football coach, mike mcqueary. he will not be on the side lines during tomorrow's game. >> he testified to a grand jury that he told former coach joe paterno about an alleged sex assault in the team's locker room. abc's scott goldberg on the penn state campus. good morning, scott. >> reporter: good morning, dan, sunny. penn state very much unsettled university. there is a much larger police presence on the streets and it is going to stay that way through saturday when the lions

host their final home football game of the year. all this as the university and the community gets used to the idea that for the first time in decades. joe paterno is not the head football coach. penn state head football coach tom bradley is the way it sound now. doesn't sound quite right not even to him. it's with mixed emotions and heavy hearts that he is going to go through this. campus board of trustees fired joe paterno, as well as the university president, graham spanier. and immediately afterwards police said 4,000 to 5,000 students poured on to the streets causing chaos, turning over a television truck. the students said their 84-year-old coach, paterno deserved to coach. at least one more game. >> joe-pa should not take the fall for this. save joe-pa! >> reporter: paterno called it one of the great sorrows of my life. >> thanks. >> pennsylvania governor said he is disappointed in the coach and the school's president. he said when it comes to the

safety of our children there can be no margin for error, no hesitation. the governor said students responsible for damage around campus are knuckleheads. he says he believes in their right to express their opinions but they do not have a right to violence. dan, sunny. thank you. now this investigation is actually starting up in san antonio, texas. where they had played a game in the late 90s there. and there are allegations that maybe there might have been some sex abuse there when, when sandusky was at his last game, one of his last games. >> we see the investigation spreading. jurisdictionally, unbelievable. i was wondering when mcqueary would get put under the microscope. he saw the little boy being sexually assaulted in the shower. he did report it to coach paterno. nothing happened. now people are are saying he didn't do enough. though he reported it to the coach. he didn't report tight police. >> the chain of events happening so rapidly in this case. later on "good morning america"

an exclusive interview with the mother of the alleged victim who made this sex abuse scandal public. you don't want to miss this, later this morning coming up on "good morning america." >> turning now, the powerboat racing competition in key west will continue today with heavy hearts. that is because two racers were killed wednesday when their 46-foot boat went airborne, it crashed during a race, the two men were rescued from the boat. taken to the hospital. but they did later die from their injuries. they are now the first, first deaths at the key west event since 1995. >> there was also a deadly chopper crash in hawaii. pilot and four tourists killed when their helicopter crashed into a mountainside on the island of molokai. narrowly missing an elementary school. passengers from u.s. and canada on a 45-minute sightseeing tour when the chopper went down the two of them were newlyweds. texas drivers will not be able to display the controversial symbol of the confederacy at least not on their license plates.

a state motor vehicle board has voted against this. a proposal to offer license plates with the confederate flag on it. the unanimous rejection after hours of emotional testimony. governor rick perry opposed the idea. the group plans to fight the decision with a lawsuit. president obama will spend part of veterans day in san diego at carrier classic. they're all set up for it on the flight deck of the aircraft "u.s.s. carl vincent" most of the 7,000 seats will be filled by military members and watch the nation's top college team, north carolina/michigan state. seems the weather is going to cooperate. >> not that we will root for michigan state or anything, but maybe. yeah, no cheering from the press
