we'll has learned he was recently rely -- released from prison. this happened right in the parking lots. >> reporter: the brazen violence at arundel mills over the weekend has shaken shoppers and those who live and work nearby. police say 22-year-old james coleman, a man with a violent history, shot two people to death, outside the packed dave and busters restaurant. >> i do live in the community. and it's very disturbing. >> i do have concerns. i probably wouldn't go there in a while. >> he came out with an ak-47 and another weapon. and shot an officer in the face. >> that officer is expected to make a full recovery. >> he started letting off round after round on the ak. >> the exact relationship between him and those he is accused of killing was unclear. >> now that we know that wasn't random, i'm not too scared.

prosecutor's case. >> seems to me from what i've read, that they do have pretty strong evidence that these robocalls were for the purpose of dissuading people from exercising their right to vote. so i don't think you have a first amendment right to that. >> reporter: if convicted on all charges, henson faces the possibility of up to 11 years in prison. now, governor ehrlich's former campaign manager, paul suric, also faces similar charges. he is expected to go on trial later this month. derek valcourt, wjz eyewitness news. >> prosecutors have said there was no indication of wrongdoing on the part of former governor bob ehrlich. another road trip. another losing team. another defeat for the baltimore ravens. it's becoming a pattern. a familiar trend that has the team and fans quite upset tonight. sports director mark viviano

canada. that keeps the cold air bottled up. as long as we have these southerly winds, it will stay on the mild side. it will at least for maybe a day or day and a half before we begin to cool down. to our north, that's where the chilly air is. eventually, this front is going to lay across the midwest. and across portion portions of the ohio valley. it's going to slowly sink southward toward our region. today, all the warm air across the south is kind of running into that cooler air. that's what's create being this shower activity and the rain to the north. but that front will approach our region late tomorrow night. clouds will be on the increase. there may be a shower overnight tonight. but i think the chances are pretty slim. but during the day tomorrow, the front will get closer. we're still in the warm air. but slowly but surely, it begins to cool down. the low will pass us. the low is going to create the rain. late wednesday, we will start clearing out. and it will become cooler. but during the day wednesday, we could see a half inch or more of rain on wednesday. then it starts to cool down. so we do have some rain in the

good evening, everyone. thanks for staying with wjz. here are some of the stories people are talking about tonight. wjz continues to follow the breaking news from southwest baltimore. a federal agent is injured in an arrest operation. jessica kartalija is live near the scene with an update. jessica? >> reporter: right now, behind me here on patapsco, looks like it is open. but federal agents are actually turning people around here and sending them back toward anamop -- anopolis -- annapolis street. and they are also letting them use viola street. and still unclear as to why they aren't opening the area up. take a look from sky eye chopper 13. we captured some video. it appears agents are sitting outside of a storage facility. that storage facility, as we told you, was the one where suspects allegedly fled, crashed into a fence. they were in an suv. they were pursued by police. from that fence, they wrapped around the side of a building, called blue crab express. the owner of that restaurant told me that he heard several

shots fired. he came outside to see what was going on outside. that's when he saw that white suv crash into two poles on his property. we were told the backup goes several blocks. they are not letting people through the scene. we've seen several ambulances go through thal area. we were also told that several transported to that. and one of those victims, believed to be an official with the atf. they cannot confirm that at this point. atf and police, very tight tight-lipped. but we do know it was an operation involving their violent crimes unit. we'll continue to monitor the situation. patapsco road is closed at this point. back to you on tv hill. >> okay, jessica. of course, we'll continue to gather information. we'll have an update tonight at 11:00. running out of patience. as the "occupy" movement stretches on here in baltimore and across the nation. city leaders and police are trying to deal with violence, sanitation problems, and demonstrators who show no signs

lack of cooperation will lead to more. >> cleaning up after the protest. here in portland, the city could estimate it could take as much as every week. to get the downtown parks back to normal. >> i think it's really long. -- wrong. they should be held accountable for their actions. >> we're here to be a nuisance, rather than staying involved. >> protestors like ian lister hope the end of occupy camps isn't the end of the movement. in portland, bigad shaban, wjz eyewitness news. >> reporter: there is no end to the occupy baltimore protest. dozens of protestors remain camped out. it has been a peaceful protest, with just a few minor problems. however, the city did cut power to the protestors because of fire hazards. protestors said they are

denouncing issues from corporate greed to campaign finance reform. a norwegian man, blamed for the first nonwar-time massacre in european history. it was a packed courtroom forran ders -- anders breivik. he blurted out, a am a norwegian commander. before the judge cut him off. he is accused of the bombing that 77 people dead. the court lifted some restrictions, including media access and visitors. breivik is being held on charges of terror. if found guilty, he could be sentenced to 21 years in prison. that is the maximum under norwegian law. >> reporter: breivik sees himself as an senate muslim crusader. tasers are a controversial tool, used by police across the nation, including here in baltimore. but as monique griego explains, baltimore's top cop went on 60 minutes to say he's not a big

fan of the nonlethal devices. >> reporter: they're designed to control suspects without killing them. still, the debate over law enforcement's use of tasers raging s on. >> on a personal level, no. i'm absolutely not a fan. >> reporter: that's what police commissioner fred bealefeld said on cbs's 60 minutes. while not a personal fan, he has seen some during their 10 years in baltimore. >> it makes the public safer in a lot of situations. some measure to reductions of deadly force. >> reporter: bealefeld's concern is that officers will choose tasers over proper police training. >> it could lead you down a path of overdependence on that device. >> reporter: while baltimore's police force has 2800 members, only 500 have tasers. and 2010, officers fired them, 146 times. in february, a 16-year-old boy who was running from police, fell off his roof after being tasered. the incident was investigated

for excessive force. despite some criticism, many on the department, like sergeant james mccartin, believes tasers saferred lives just by sitting on their hips. >> securing it, to having it with you, is a big deterrent. they see it, they don't want to go. they don't want to play with it. >> reporter: those who opposed tasers say since 2006, more than 180 people have died after being tazed. a woman accuse. neglecting cats in her home said she did not abuse animals. animal control officers also say they found 68 dead cats. she said she fed and properly cared for the cats and wants them back. time now for a at the baltimore sun. what are the best days for online purchases?
