atf raid in south baltimore. >> the latest on an injured asian. >> hello again i'm jessica kartalija. >> and i'm don scott. >> the massive atf operation it turned frightening after gunfire and a car chase last night. wjz is live with a follow up. mike. >> reporter: you know you were there last night. we're talking about dozens of federal agents. a big response. we don't have specifics on the operation but we can tell you this particular unit only targets the most dangerous and most violent of offenders. surveillance video wjz obtained exclusively shows the most frightening moments. people ran after hearing gunshots then a ford explorer creamed into another suv. seconds later it ran over a

sign during the evening rush hour. >> it was chaotic. everybody was running. we all was getting down. >> it shows the after math. they crashed into a pole. the injured agent is expected to fully recover. the atf will not say why they conducted the raid in the area. sky chopper shows the size of the operation. >> i heard the gunshots. i came outside. >> going back to the surveillance video you can see agents rushing on the grown. the atf violent impact team conducted the raid. it was established in 2004 and targets the worst of the worst offenders. wjz has learned it's not just an operation here but in 20 cities coast to coast but rarely does the public get to see the large scale operations

go down. and again that agent will be okay. he suffered non-life threatening injuries. jessica back to you. >> the atf says the violent impact team removes thousands of illegal firearms away from the streets. occupy wall street protestors took to the streets in new york again. check out the scene a few moments ago as thousands were marching through the streets of manhattan. overnight they cleared them out of their camp site. as randall pinkston reports many left in handcuffs. >> reporter: occupy wall street demonstrators march in the street after they were evicted from their camp. new york city police moved in after midnight. they carried away protestors that refused to leave the park and arrested about 200 people. >> they treat us like we're

some kind of violent people. this is so sad. this is america. >> reporter: the park has been scrubbed clean. city officials say the occupation posed a health and safety issue. >> the first amendment gives every new yorker the right to speak out but it does not give anyone the right to sleep in a park or otherwise take it over to the exclusion of others. >> tell me what democracy looks like? >> reporter: demonstrators have occupied the park for two months to protest corporate greed. but their prolonged presence hurt local businesses and the crowds and noise frustrated residence and workers in the area. >> i want to have lunch in my park and i want to be able to use it. >> reporter: the city plans to clean the park and let the demonstrators return without tents and sleeping bags. but lawyers for the movement were in court this morning trying to get the judge to let the camping gear back in. in new york randall pinkston.

>> mayor bloomberg says the raid was timed for the middle of the night to minimize the disruption to the neighborhood. for the first time since allegations of child abuse charges sandusky is speaking out. >> sandusky has not appeared or spoken pubically since he was charged with abusing eight boys. he loves being around children but he denied being sexually attracted to them. when pressed on the charges, the former coach admitted some aspects are true but he maintains his innocence. >> i have horsed around with kids. i have showered after workouts. i have hugged them and i have touched their leg without intent of sexual contact. >> reporter: some of sanduskys

alleged victims are as young as ten years old. he is currently free on bail. back to you. >> thank you. the scandal surrounding the alleged incidents have led to the outing of the penn state president and joe paterno. wjz has just learned the trial has been postponed until february. the call that told people the governor and president had won long before the polls closed should be protected under the first amendment. hanson was paid by the early campaign. if convicted he could face up to 11 years in prison. the state public service commission is saving some maryland consumers from a big spike in their natural gas bill. they applied for a substantial rate increase for its maryland customers to pay for infrastructure repairs but the

a trip to the mechanic leads to quite the recovery inside. charles preston took his used mini van to the mechanic to fix his stuck window. the previous owner stuck half a million dollars worth of cocaine in the window. >> he put it on his tongue. he said his tongue went numb. i said we have to call the police. >> who immediately impounded the van. the used car dealership has offered to replace it. the connecticut lottery commission is searching for the nation's newest multimillionaire. it has launched a billboard campaign because one purchased in the state is worth $254 million. it's the 12th largest in power

around i went and got lunch we got these skies. fall doesn't really start out like gang busters. the past three weeks everything got new england pretty and the reds and yellows are really popping today with these skies. and enjoy the try conditions while we have them because this gray means rain. let's look at the current conditions in the area. same thing spring you get the flowers coming out. it's just really visual. 65 degrees right now. 65% humidity. winds out of the west at 7. another really mild afternoon. there is continuity in the forecast. that is what you look for. particularly when you look toward the extended outlook. everything is going according to script. even when we've had shower activity through the morning near frederick. not too much further east in

mount ayr. than on up toward township. the exception of oakland conversation. 60 hagerstown. 66 easton. almost 70 ocean city. 61 west minister. there were showers out in that area. 66 belle air. 65 columbia. only a matter of time before this frontal boundary sags through the region. as it does our frequency of shower activity will pick up. steady rain in the outlook. still looking to get this weather offshore by late wednesday or early thursday. today we are looking for a high. we may get up to 70. still may happen. certainly some showers possible this afternoon. guaranteed tonight with an overnight low of 51. tomorrow looking pretty good as far as keeping the forecast on track for the weekend 63 is the
