entrance to the jfx is moving well. some storm systems were causing problems in other parts of the country but its been a smog travel wednesday for us. the lines at the busy southwest terminal will long and at the toll plaza the fort medicare henry tunnel they were also long. around 160,000 will pass through by midnight. no day as packed for travel as this one. it was enough to make some scream but others took it in stride. >> definitely extra time. i always leave extra time. >> they got bumped from two flights and the third was a -- they gotter here okay. >> i'm pregnant and this will probably be my last flight and his family hasn't seen me and we haven't seen them for most of a year. >> reporter: there are a handful of delays here but most of the planes are getting in on time. some 36,000 people will arrive here today.

tim as we look at the next four days. >> definitely going to improve. what i will say is in the short run the wind wills play into travel. lot of people on the roads and a lot of people hitting the road. the wind's have been going up to 40 miles an hour and sometimes greater. if are you loading up the family and getting in to a high profile vehicle is could push you around the road a bit so consider that as you drive up and down the highway. as far as the forecast and the temperatures we are right on target or i little above. the average high, the normallal is 53 and going down. tomorrow 57 degrees. 60 on friday, just in time for black friday shopping, 66 on saturday, 64 on sunday. if you are going out to the game tomorrow 48 degrees just around kickoff time so it's going to be a good day with a lot of sun as you go over the river and through the woods to whatever house are you going to. we will have the updated forecast in just a few moments. >> if you are going over the river i hope you have a boat.

the man threatened anyone else before the officer arrived. >> just to early, we are waiting to get more witness statements and more statements the officer. >> it's so close to the holidays and everything. it's just a shame. >> reporter: wjz eyewitness news. >> the officer was not hurt. she hasn't been identified by police. >> new developments in the investigation involving the clerk of court and an incident with a blogger. we have the latest. >> reporter: the outside prosecutor is in charge of the case. the city clerk of court is a accused of displaying a gun during an argument with a blogger. police officers happened to be near and they witnessed what happened. he has a permit to carry the gun but it has expired. he and the other man have a an going feud. no charges have been filed. >> the outside prosecutor is being brought into avoid a conflict knight of interest.

>> government debt, unemployment, major issues left unsolved by congress. growing outrage now among voters. we have the frustration and a new poll. >> reporter: republicans and democrats are gridlocked over the issues. disgust with congress reaches the highest level in two decades, a poll finds less than a quarter of americans have a good view of congress. it was done as a super committee failed to reach an agreement to cut $1.2 trillion do you like the job congress is doing? >> no. >> reporter: i just say the word congress and you react. >> not positive. >> let them fight among themselves, let them be children. >> reporter: is the government broke? >> i would say it's broken and broke. >> reporter: the approval rating has fallen more than 25 points in two years to just 12%. what could they do better? >> anything. >> calm down and stay away

. police in egypt continue to hold three students. right now thousands are protesting, tonight that student's mother said she has talked to her son on the phone for the first time since the arrest arrest. >> reporter: students here at georgetown leave for the weekend, many have fellow student derek sweeney on their mind. the 19-year-old was on a semester abroad program in cairo. now he is being held by police who released this video of him, on the right and two other americans accused of taking part in violent protests and

throwing molotov cocktails at police. >> i don't think he would do anything to inflict harm. he is a believer in peace. >> reporter: his mother said her son called her today to say he is okay and didn't do what he is a accused of. he still is being questioned but she is praying for his fast release. >> i just want him safe and home. >> reporter: on the campus of georgetown many concerned for his safety. >> one of our students who is over there and you know, and i don't know. hopefully he is safe and getting due process. >> definitely worried. it must be a terrifying experience. >> makes me nervous for his safety knowing that it's very unstable right now. >> reporter: no comment from georgetown university which only released a statement saying that they are in touch with embassy officials in egypt and when the state department. wjz eyewitness news. >> college students being held have been identified as gregory

their privacy and maded search for their daughter unbearable. >> please stop. we are trying to find our daughter and you are stopping us. >> reporter: they say at first the press was helpful showing photographs of their 4-year- old, kidnapped at their vacation villa in 2007. scene they say they shifted blame on them and made stories up, printing headlines full of lies. >> front page with the photograph of her with the headline she is dead. >> reporter: kate said she felt mentally raped when the news of the world published part of her private dairy that described her feelings after her daughter disappeared. >> i felt violated. i wrote these words at a straight time. . >> reporter: it was the phone hacking that eventually brought down news of the world. that trippingerred the ethics hearing now underway.

families are testifying about how the media has treated them. harry potter author is scheduled to speak on thursday about her battles to protect her children. a judge will issue a report next year that could suggest major changes in the way britain's media operates. in london, wjz. >> and the hearing is being aired live. >> strange amish attacks. we have the latest. >> reporter: the leader of a break away amish group and six followers are charged with hate crimes. sam mullet would order his followers to shave the beards of other amish men a majora fence. he also made some sleep in a chicken coop and had sex with married women to cleanse them.

the attacks terrorized amish communities. >> police say many victims wouldn't press charges because they don't want to get involved in court. >> the death of a russian woman who was found after she disappeared on a trip to maryland is now ruled a homicide. the 54-year-old was last heard from in february as she drove a rental car from new york to catonsville. she was found in the chesapeake in june. police say one of her sons is a suspect in her death. a wild fight between two neighbors ends with one person dying. we report from edgewood with more on how it happened. >> jay! er withwhere are you? >> reporter: she is in disbelief after learning her friend died tuesday evening, made even more distraught by the strange circumstances. >> it's -- got really rough. he said get my husband and i

did. they were holding him down and then when the cops came he just was gone. >> reporter: they watched the scene happen at her friend's house in the 2,000 block of edgewood. breken ridge walked in to his neighbore unlocked home uninvited. the woman of the house alerted her husband who asked him to leave. when he wouldn't leave a fight broke out. >> it was a struggle, physical, there were no weapons involved. we will fled to wait for the results. >> reporter: neighbors say breken ridge will often walk up and down the street knocking on doors trying to get inside. >> he would knock on my door. i don't know him. he would want to use the phone. bang bang bang. >> reporter: green said he suffer from mental illness. >> how can i look at -- as a criminal? he has never disrespected me. the most he would come to use my phone or i would give him something to eat. republican police continue to investigate what happened. >> it's horrible. i didn't want him to die. he has a family. why would i want that?

. at least three are dead after mudslides in italy. this is the aftermath, a 10- year-old was killed as his family tried to escape from their home.

the mudslides have swept away cars and washed out bridges. some of the flooding is blamed on the government's failure to regularly clean storm drains. efforts to put up a christmas tree in new zealand, the chopper clipped part of the structure and came crashing down. the pilot jumped out. he wasn't seriously hurt. an investigation is underway. >> a family in minnesota is robbed while mourning the loss of a loved one. it's a disturbing trend where burglars strike a home while the family is at a funeral. the couple said they came home to find money gone, including all their savings for christmas. authorities hope to prevent future break-ins by getting the word out. ? is there life after death? that has can psalmed mankind for centuries and tonight we talk to a man who claims he saw the after life and it started with a crab cake. >> reporter: the greeks first

>> like we didn't believe it. we were like no, we won a truck? >> reporter: toyota gave away a car a day for 100 days to the charity that received the most votes on facebook. with 42% of the vote, angels got their keys on tuesday. they are based in glennville, rescuing abused horses. they are caring for 19. . >> just run basically the -- the truck and the two we have are more than 20 and they are -- they are in terrible shape. >> reporter: they will use the truck every day to move hay, straw and other supplies. a truck like this costs upwards of $40,000. money not quite in their budget. by replacing the old vehicle angels can now kick their rescue into a higher gear. >> we thank everybody that voted for us. we wouldn't have done it without them. >> this was the first year for the toyota contest and they plan to do it again next year. >> still to come, forget all

. the fan sports report. >> this is quite the happening. its right here in baltimore. that will give way to two hard hitting teams. the ravens and 49ers going after it. jim harbaugh known for his fire played 16 years in the league with the ravens quarterback. he has brought it down and dirty hard charging personality to the niners. they don't have the most talent but like the ravens they do hit hard, play hard and have the overall nasty demeanor. the ravens know it's coming. they can't wait for the fight. >> they will come out and punch us in the mouth. i don't care if they flew from san francisco to baltimore. they will do whatever they can to punch us, to get us to go
