justice for michael jackson's family. the king of pop doctor heading to jail. >> how long he'll spend behind bars and the reason the judge threw the book at dr. conrad murray. >> hi everybody, i'm mary bubala. >> here's what people are talking about. >> dr. conrad murray is sentenced to nine years in jail for michael jackson's death. the judge showed no sympathy for the doctor. >> reporter: sheriff deputies escorted michael jackson's personal physician out of the courtroom and back to jail. after the judge sentenced him to the maximum sentence of involuntary manslaughter. >> he has no sense of remorse, no sense of fault and is and

the defense wanted life. because of overcrowding murray will likely spend under two years in jail. before leaving the courtroom, the doctor blew someone a kiss. >> the judge is still deciding how much murray owes. hours away from freedom. the maryland man suspected in the disappearance of a maryland woman is about to be released from jail. >> giordiano will be a free man by 9:00 tonight. police still have not found her body and they don't have enough evidence to keep jiordano locked up. prosecutors aren't giving up on the case just yet.

they will appeal tomorrow. >> if prosecutors win that appeal they say they will try to bring jiordano back to aruba. an aid to former governor ehrlich goes on trial. >> reporter: jurors have to decide whether they agree with the prosecution who says those robo calls were intended to keep african american democrats from voting or if they agree with the defense who says those robo calls were intended to get african americans to vote for bob ehrlich. calls that prosecutors argued misleadingly suggest there's no need for democrats to go vote.

fort wayne indianapolis says jason spurgen was upset they blocked off a road during an investigation. spurgen honked his horn several times and got out of his truck and started yelling. that's when police realized he was drunk. his blood alcohol level was twice the legal amount. he was arrested. kim molestino reports a family's fight with the airline. >> reporter: this day the closest lynne mccaine she will get to her dream trip in belize is through pictures. her doctor recommended she not travel. after she was given the all

beautiful shot, look at that. the sun is appearing to the west of us. still a lot of clouds but the rain will be ending shortly around the baltimore metro. it's now east of the city. it's still raining pretty good. take a look at radar, a whole batch of rain northeast of the baltimore metro. all of us getting good rain.

but west of the city has cleared up. there's been some breaks in the cloud cover. so we'll see clearing skies tonight. probably all the rain should be done here in the city by 8:00. at 10:00 it was 66 now we're down to 51. the winds start to turn more, the variable at six. basically for the next five minutes north. but they're pretty much all over the place. they will become more west and dry things out later tonight. the barometer holding steady. colder air to the south and west of us. still rainy over there, 55 in elkton and to the south and west of us holding in the lower 40s. with the rain cool, winds pretty much all over the place. but tonight we'll be coming out more to the west. that will dry things out.

that will get things pretty breezy. that is snow over extreme eastern portions of mississippi, alabama. see how well formed it is. look at that spin, you can see the spin in the atmosphere, rain coming up in the region. now the cool air is beginning to move in, it won't snow here but garrett county will see some flakes later tonight. you see some stuffs showing up in the mountains. extreme western north carolina, some of the mountains even in extreme northern south carolina getting flakes. and yes there's snow in indiana. michigan, temperatures there in the mid-30s it's a wet snow. if rain finally coming out. during the day tomorrow, certainly cooler temperatures than we saw today. with higher pressure building in, we'll see a good deal of sunshine. from time to time it may cloud over with chilly air moving in but a much drier end to the week. west fringe eight to 15. through the day tomorrow, the

maximum sentence. dr.murray was sentenced to nine years for causing the death of his patient, michael jackson. murray is and remains quote dangerous to the public said the judge. michael jackson died of an overdose of propofol. >> the fact is michael jackson died because of the actions of and the failures to perform legal duties on the part of dr. murray. murray will serve his time in the los angeles county jail. sheriff officials expect he will serve a little less than two years in a one man cell. legally insane that's how norway officials describe a confessed killer. kai has more on what they know. >> brevick has confessed to

turn 40. mary bubala is here with the advice. >> this after a new study which looked at patient records from a clinic in rochester new york. they found that women in their 40s who had no family history of breast cancer were just as likely as women with a history. their finding indicates that women in this age group would benefit from annual mammogram screenings. a federal government task force sparked controversy when they changed the recommendations. by the time the storm is finished, more than 2-inches of rain is possible across the chicago area. and we've seen our own fair share of rain. it's been a nasty tuesday around baltimore but the rain is starting to clear. bob is here now with the

hello christie. >> hi everyone. the roads are definitely slick so a lot of accidents and delays. as far as the west side of the outer look very heavy there from security boulevard to the national pike. on the outside of the loop from york road to the jfx. we're still looking at about an hour delay. as far as accidents go, quite a few. 100 west bound an accident there at 97. harpers farm over in the columbia area and westminster pike at 795. taking a look at drive times if you are traveling in the interloop. 21-miles-per-hour average and almost 30 minutes to get through. you can see a lot of heavy traffic there on the belt way. that's a look at security boulevard. we'll take another live look now as bad there. that's a look at the beltway at pairing parkway. this traffic report is brought to you by the rock of ages

well some clearing just west of the baltimore area. west of baltimore and washington. it's pretty much just light rain in a few spots and heavy rain east of us. the heavy stuff now east and northeast of the baltimore metro. you see northeast maryland getting some heavy rain. it's east of our region, and that will continue over the next few hours. locally you can see west of the city, really just west of us. northeast of us still moderate and pockets of rain. just a matter of time before it's finally clearing up from the city on west. east of us probably at least three to four more hours where you'll be dealing with this rain. 52degrees now. temperatures around 10:30 we're up to 67. the front came through temperatures started dropping. winds right now out of the south at five, the humidity
