this is the break news on the future of the baltimore grand prix, they terminated the contract with the organizers of the popular race. we have more on that decision and what it will mean for the raising fans. >> mike, the city said that they would do this, but the baltimore city did not get the act together and the mayor made good on that threat, but he wants to see the race continue under a new organization 6789. >> the group that organized the grand prix in downtown baltimore is facing a dozen lawsuits and has about 12 million in debt and now the city has terminated the five- year contract with the baltimore raising development. the mayor said that they owe the city $950,000 for services and 487971 for taxes and the

$250,000 raising event fee. it was disappointing for those that follow the race. >> the private company is not able to pay the bills and the number one concern is thousand to get the tax money paid. >> the mayor said in a statement that the managers have not put the company on a sustainable path forward. the baltimore raising development is under new control, but now it is a little too late too soon, the state has a tax lien. >> when they owe money $0 the tax man, they are in trouble. >> the race did bring positive coverage to the area, but for them to continue in baltimore, any organizers would have to have the approval of the city

. a bogus cancer scam, most of the money collected was at an elementary school. >> when school opens next week, one woman will face a scam charge. from january 2010 and this summer, the unidentified worker told other employees she had cancer and the co-workers stepped up to pay for her rent, groceries and etch a plane ticket for cancer care. >> this month, a co-worker

suspected something and went to the police. in the miss report, the one in four toll workers found that the cancer was at a stage four and spread to the lungs and only a 15% chance of surviving and the co-worker sprang to action, collecting about $10,000 in that fundraiser. >> it was identified from the sheriff's office from the victim that this was happening to raise money for this co- worker that said she had cancer. >> you don't play with that! >> this ace former student at baker field. >> i'm surprised, but a lot of people do a lot of things to get money these days. >> police are in the early stages of the investigation and as a result, no charges have been filed yet. police have not release the

tomorrow night with some beautiful fireworkses, everybody is getting ready for that, but before we get to the forecast, what is happening now? today is a pretty nice day. many people are enjoying the holiday. 52 is what we got to and the thing is that we will be above that 42 for the next few days. the temperatures, right now, outside, it is looking like this. we have dropped a bit with the sun going down and we are down to the 40s for most of us. it is still pretty nice and above average. 40 in the mountains, 39 and coming in closer, we are in the 40s for the most part. the winds are turning to the southeast and that will keep the temperatures above average for the next 28 to 48 hours and then the change early in the week and then a week to get through before we get there. there is the storm to move in first and that could bring in the showers tomorrow and that is not a big storm and will not produce a lot and notice what

we have in motion, the southern side is dry, some showers as that moves by and then moving out tomorrow night and the everything will be going on outside. behind that, another storm, that will bring in some big change to the area. that is after the weekend. here is the first storm, that is going to move out and nice as far as the temperatures. later sunday, here is the next storm. when that move itself out, the colder air, some of the colder air for the year. it will be a new year. so far this season, that will continue into the next week. out on the waters, small craft advisory in effect, the winds are picking up and then they will die down overnight. that will be tomorrow night when it is most important for the fireworkses. cloudy, a breeze and mild and maybe a shower and then up to 57 and the winds will die down
