. here is a concern for today, the wind advisory over the state for this hour. if you went outside, it is not just windy, it is chilly. people braced for the cold and wind this morning, even though it has been sunny. it is also friday, we have two things going for us. on federal hill, looking outside, the winds are coming from the west and we will find out more on what that means in weather. tim is here with the first morning weather center check. >> the winds are effecting a change in the forecast.

first, the winds dried out the rain that came through the area and now the winds are sustained over the area, right around 18 miles per hour in central maryland and double digits over the board -- -- we have had winds reported at the airport and at 35 miles per hour. this is in effect for the areas in brown until 6:00 p.m. and in west maryland, a winter weather advisory, that could include snow off the lake. central maryland, colder to oakland and with the wind, feeling like 24 on our skin. the winds will be with us for
