pinkston, wjz eyewitness news. >> 46 states have yet to hold primaries and caucuses and just six% of delegates have been awarded so far. >> the susan g. koman foundation is receiving flak from women's rights groups this afternoon after it announces it is pulling its funding from planned parenthood, ron matz is live with more on this. good afternoon. >> reporter: good afternoon, don. the susan g. komen foundation is calling the move a tragic decision, while critics say it is political pay back. the organization had been giving planned parenthood funds to fund breast exams. they say they pulled funding after succumbing to pressure from antiabortion activists, in a statement yesterday they denied that politics played a roll and reiterated its decision was based on its newly adopted criteria for issuing grants. >> planned parenthood says it has already received more than $400,000 from 6000 different donors in the 24 hours since

the news broke. >> police are still searching for the suspect in a robbery outside a popular city restaurant. mary bubala is live with more details. good afternoon. >> reporter: good afternoon. police are checking surveillance cameras in the area near petite louis and have stepped up patrols. an unfamiliar sight outside of one of baltimore's most popular upscale restaurants, an officer stationed in front. police say two women were robbed as they were leaving the restaurant and we have learned one of the victims is 73-year- old sally michael. she and a friend were getting in their car outside petite louis tuesday night before 8:00 p.m. when a man who claimed to have a gun approached. >> i believe he said if you don't want to get shot give me your purse. >> reporter: he leaned into the car and grabbed one of the purses, one of the them refused to turn over her handbag, a move police say could have been dangerous. >> the suspect appeared to get spooked and ran off. we do not urge people could

confront suspects. do what they asked. >> neither woman was hurt but neighbors are worried a potential gunman is still on the loose. >> this is disturbing, i actually live maybe six blocks down that way on roland and i don't usually think twice about walking up here. >> it is disturbing news to hear. i haven't heard too much about it around here. >> reporter: as of right now police do not have a detailed description of the suspect but they do say they will keep up these extra patrols for now. jessica, back to you. >> according to our media part there the sun the other woman robed that night is a 64-year- old former city school principal. meantime city police are investigating a number of shootings this noon, including one that led to the death of a man in east baltimore. sky eye chopper 13 was over the scene on north monford avenue, a 22-year-old says he was sitting in front of the house when someone opened fire, three more shootings overnight are also under investigation. >> a convicted cat killer will spend the next three months

behind bars, a judge sentencing ethan wideman to 90 days in jail. he was earlier found guilty of shooting one cat with a pellet gun and beating another. he is also suspected of killing 5 more. in addition to jail time he must pay a fine and is not allowed to have contact with animals for three years. a viewing will be held today for 18-year-old zachery rose. he was one of 4 people killed when britney walker drove the wrong way and hit another car head on. toxicology reports show she was driving under the influence as was the driver of the other car. >> this unseasonably pleasant weather may not be around for too much longer as pennsylvania's punxsutawney phil makes his predictions on this ground hog day. >> as i look at the ground on gobbler's knob, many shadows do i see. six more weeks of winter it must be.

mild. take a look at the temperatures. we are at 49 right now, 41 oakland, 45 on the shore and 46 in elkton, so how does this play into the rest of the week? for more on that we send it to martin bass. >> good afternoon, everybody. i want to look at national temperatures and still want you to note that cold air is trapped well up to the north and west, no longer way up to the north and west, i mean it is now 30 bismarck, 33 in minneapolis but you still have a 55 in kc, mo, and a flow from milder regions coming into the mid-atlantic but colder air is trying to make it into the lower 48 if you will. our next graphic shows though by tomorrow, yeah, that jet stream is starting to drop down the east coast but we are going to still be in the mild envelope of air and believe men with i tell you it is going to last longer than just tomorrow. meteorologist tim williams has
