>> flurries found snow false across maryland. tonight, when it will stop. >> good evening, thanks for joining us. i'm adam may. we have not seen a lot of snow this winter, but at least we're getting a little bit right now. this averages rain changed to snow and the other part of the state. the white stuff has been falling for quite a bit of hours for quite a bit of people. it's quite a change from the 60- degree weather we've been enjoying. you could see there's still some kind of snow, wintery mix in the area. the first weather team is following the flash of winter very closely. meteorologist with an updated look at first doppler radar. >> we're going to start with first morning doppler radar. we'll see what's going on across the state.

dc. they confronted protesters. weja has the latest on the raid. >> reporter: officers dressed in riot gear set up barricades in the park which is located in the white house. they completely had away makeshift. and before dawn broke saturday, police moved in the occupied site of the nation's capitol. >> protesters knew it was coming. monday, the park service warned they were enforcing the city's no camping rule at mcpherson square. we're not going without a fight. police arrested four people would refused to move back. >> this looks like a police stake. >> if they want to take sleeping bags an pillows, i think people are intent enough in the movement, that they would sleep in the cold.

the washington, d.c. camping ban includes sleeping on the ground, possessing sleeping bags, blankets and other bedding. the first republican contest out west is on the way to nevada. las vegas, where front-runner mitt romney is counting on his fellow mormons to help him out. mitt romney is looking to make it two in a row with a win. fresh from his tuesday victory in the florida primary, the republican front-runner is not taking anything forgranted. >> i know i did well in henderson. >> he has a 20 point lead over newt gingrich. in recent appearances, he's comparing his rival program to president obama. if elected, he will push for flat tax and a balanced budget. >> i have no intention of raising revenue to catch up with obama's spending. i have every intention to

rick santorum and ron paul are, are already looking ahead to states that are scheduled to hold nominating contest. paul is focusing his efforts in minnesota. >> officer is arrested accused of tipping suspects before a drug raid. investigators say corporal rick alexander warn the suspects that officers were about to raid the home on thursday night. the suspects then told police that's when they moved several grams of marijuana. >> while we were exiting the search and seizure. one of them indicated and told us, corporal alexander was the individual that called there. and that's what prompted them to take the drugs out of the home and hide it at a different location. >> the 36-year-old is charged with obstruction and conspiracy. the search for someone who

sexually assault add woman in the strip mall is heating up. gigi barnett explains, they now know who they are looking for. they are looking for this man. on january 31st. shortly before 11:00 p.m., investigators say he walked to a woman in a strip mall and sexually aassaulted her and ran away. >> officers canvassed the area. they were unable to locate the suspect. the investigation at this point turned into the criminal investigation division. >> the detectives are, are looking for witnesses, too. the suspect was wearing a dark- colored jacket, jeans and a gauge-style earring that night. investigators say he was one tall tale feature. >> the scar on the right side of his face and cheek. >> shoppers say they are on the look-out, too. >> very, very close now. i have daughters. that's not good. concerned. >> i'm gigi barnett, wjz "eyewitness news." >> if you have any information

on the case, the police say you should call the detectives at 410-222-3416. . a maryland woman is dead after a one car crash in caulkies eastville. 49-year-old was ejected from her car as she lost control and struck a guardrail. it happened early this morning no york road, north of thornton mill road. no one else was involved and the crash remains under investigation. maryland troopers are recovering after a hot pursuit. trooper chased the suspect friday morning in japa after the suspect took off after being pulled over. sawa was hurt. you could see when the suspect's car rammed the police cruiser and sent the officer into a fence. you could see one of the rails went through the wind shield hitting the trooper sawa in the chest. he suffered some minor injuries. he joined the force after the

the government's crackdown on the democracy protesters. russia and china recently blocked a resolution that called for syria's president to step down. the fallout of a california teacher facing sexual related charges involving a student continues with a second teacher now arrested. 49-year-old martin springer was arrested in los angeles. it comes days after one of the colleague's 61-year-old mark burns is accused of taking bondage-style photos of nearly two dozen boys and girls. >> there are,they were -- they were approximately 7-year-old at the time of the alleged incident. >> officials couldn't say if there was a relationship or connection between burnt and springer. the teachers did teach at the same scole mira mont elementary in south los angeles.

transferring a prisoner to jail goes wrong in alabama. he broke free, stabbed a police officer and stole a police cruiser while a chase ensued. one officer who was hurt and the chase later died at the hospital. police then killed the suspect after a tense standoff last night. two cruise ships are returning to florida a little early after 200 passengers were aaffected with a passenger. the crowned princess is now docked. total of 140 passengers as well, as 18 crew members came down with norovirus. it's a stomach illness. the ruby princess is scheduled to dock tomorrow, where a total of 81 passengers and nine crew members are, are affected. both the ships are going to be completely sanitized. >> the weather scene out west is a lot different what we see here. this is what people are, are

welcome back, everybody. we're going to start with first doppler radar. very strong from east to west. we're going to get a break in this after a couple of hours. there's more that's going to come through overnight. on the northern fringe and where you see the darker colors, that's where you see it in snow. on the southern side that's how it will come down in rain. we saw the storm coming from the west. look at the mixture of colors. green in the other side indicating rain that mix in the paint is where we're seeing the mix of rain and snow. in most cases, it's changed over to snow. as far as the accumulation, it's quite a range. this is interesting because a lot of the black top has been so warm lately and it's really melting in the black top.

with the sunsetting, that could change up a little bit. on the grassy surfaces, we'll see more of the accumulation in the cars and trees. in these cases, once and two inches, in the yellow. coating of one to two inches possible. in the southern part of that, mainly in the form of rain. it will cause problems for people heading out tonight. the winds in the northern side, just enough to bring in the cold air and it's just cold enough to change into snow. we're still 35 degrees in baltimore. the thing is, with the cold air pushing from the north and the burst that we've seen of it, it's enough to keep it in snow all the way down to the ground. but that's why it's not laying on the ground by now. there's a fine line in the areas. north and west of that, where we see more of an accumulation. on the southern side, this is in the form of rain. we did top out at 45 degrees. and here's a bigger look at the storm. here the northern side, which is affecting aus and will

continue to root today and tomorrow. it's hanging way back in the west. it will take some time to get through. tomorrow morning, still a chance of the mix before it gets out tomorrow afternoon. when it does, sunshine starting to break out. we dry out for another couple of days. another night of mild air monday on tuesday. highs back if the 50s. our forecast looks like this. on the waters things will be out in the water tomorrow. and tonight, we go down to freezing. small accumulations possible. the further north and west you go, the more you will see. we go back up to 47 degrees. that's right. as we look at the next five days, we clear it out. we're back in the 50s. some very mild air on top of us. we have another storm wednesday. we're back to 47 on thursday. >> this is winter. we're getting it easy. thanks so much. as it stands, a look what's coming up in sports. >> north carolina and maryland
