>> welcome back, everybody. well, the storm has now made its way into maryland, let's go to first warning weather doppler radar and show you what we are seeing. i am going to show this to you because the first part is not making it to the ground yet but the darker colors more of it is making it to the ground and north and west of the city is this snow. so back into the mountains. we will switch it over and show you it is not snow for everybody. when we put it in motion you see we have those clouds come in last night but on the southern side of this it is warm enough this is in the form of rain and in the middle there sort of a mix of rain and snow. overall we do have winter weather advisories in effect for the areas. you will see accumulation, these are some of the numbers. for most of us in the metro area a slushy getting to an inch is possible, north of the city and west of the city one to three inches is possible. most of this is going to be on the grass, on the cars, on the
12:20 pm
trees. because the ground has been so warm lately. now when the sun sets there is that chance it would make for a messy evening commute and some of it will lay on the ground but a lot will melt on the roadways. another thing going on, too, we will switch it back over and show you, temperatures, since it is 39, a lot of is that is going to melt. south in the 40s, this is rain, north and west more accumulation in the mountains where it is already 30. the winds have turned northeast and that is going to bring colder air enough for it to be in the form of snow. here is a break down, a messy evening commute because that is when the bulk will move through. small accumulation is possible mainy on the trees and grass. during those overnight hours slush could freeze and we could see icy patches because we are going below freezing during the overnight hours. here that is storm, it comes
12:21 pm
in. it gets out of here tomorrow. sunshine returns and temperatures warm up so there is good melting tomorrow afternoon. here is the tomorrow behind it. another storm, chance for rain with snow showers, then that will get out of here over the weekend with colder air to follow. we will deal with this first. 40 for our high today, small accumulation this evening. this ends overnight. then we go below freezing so tomorrow morning could be dicey, 46 tomorrow, 50 on friday. your 5 day coming up. >> wjz is always on for you, here are some of the stories we are medicare. it doesn't cover everything. and what it doesn't cover can cost you some money. that's why you should consider an aarp... medicare supplement insurance plan... insured by unitedhealthcare insurance company. all medicare supplement insurance plans can help pay...
