accountable. >> under the terms of the settlement america's biggest banks, banks rescued by taxpayer dollars will be required to write these. >> reporter: state attorney says this deal will help thousands of maryland people stay in their homes. >> we're getting more money in maryland than new york is. >> reporter: workers sometimes find documents they had rid or fake signatures. the $960 million was based on the home owners impacted by the mortgage. >> it's definitely created a little bit of anger towards the whole practice of fore closure in general. we've become more educated on this. >> reporter: you can qualify if you're home was fore closed
