marriage. >> there has been what is being called some eye opening video in the george huguely murder trial. his defense is trying to stop the lacrosse player from going to prison for live in the death of his ex-girlfriend yeardly love. wjz and adam may are live outside the courthouse. good morning. >> reporter: good afternoon, don, very interesting testimony today by the defense. they put on the stand george huguely's aunt, from the pittsburgh area, she came down here to visit george huguely the night before yeardly love died and she narrated the video taken from a popular bar that they used to hang out near campus. in the video she said you could see george huguely and yeardly love holding hands. now why is this so critical? well, it plays into the defense theory this was not a premeditated beating death of yeardly love and the jurors seemed fixated on the fact.
12:05 pm
they were watching this video and played it a couple of times where george huguely and yeardly love were holding hands, and this happened actually a couple of days after there was a threatening e-mail, where huguely said that i wanted to kill you, so it is going to be interesting to see how the jury takes this, also on the stand a high school student who saw yeardly love hit george huguely with a purse a couple of days before the e- mail. so the time line goes according to the defense, they got into an argument. she hit him with a purse, a couple of days letter the threatening e-mail, and then a couple of days after that they are seen holding hands then yeardly love turns up dead. so the defense has rested for the day because one of the defense attorneys is still very ill and testimony here will continue again tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. don, that is the latest from charlottes vifl, ville, back to you. >> stay with us, we will bring
