jim: what's it like standing out there on a range and all you can do is just wait. just hope you don't hear a roar. nick: exactly. but you have to stay -- as you commented at the start, you have to stay in the same intensity. you can't go kissing the babies and thinking you're going to win. you just got to stay with it just for five more minutes to see what happens. if you need to click into that mode to go back to that 18th tee and start again, well so be it. jim: wife julie on the range with him. there you see the two tee shots. first we've got molder. >> he must have said something to upset these two. jim: sure looks like it, doesn't it? >> 202 yards left. jim: that's no fun back there. >> no. nick: ask dustin johnson. >> phil has 169 and keegan,
6:31 pm
after a drive of 326 yards, just 155 in. jim: so he's 14 yards past phil. i love, love this look at 18. one of the great finishing hole theatres in the sport right here. nick: right, phil, just get the right trajectory and the right spine. >> 9-iron. nick: well, there's a surprise. >> 169 with the wind. nick: just wants the land it -- with a 9-iron, needs to land it 65. got to get it up there. this thing is the tiiest of little ridges in -- tiniest of little ridges. if he lands on that, it will just bite. >> he's pulled it. nick: yeah, over the top. it's the professional way of

getting that extra five yards out of it. he would have loved to have carved it. with a 9-iron in his hand, just goes straight at it. jim: he hasn't made a putt all day. maybe he's been saving it for the 18th. >> steve hale giving keegan bradley 155 and he has wedge in his hand. nick: if he keeps his pogture, maintaining that spineage, he could hit a tiny one-yard draw with the wedge. and it would get there if he stands up with it and comes out of it, he'll block it right. >> he hit it 185 yards with an 8-iron on the last. hard wedge should be fine. nick: got to turn over, i feel. if you chop it up, it won't get there.
6:33 pm
>> picked it clean. it's a little right of the hole. jim: it's a beauty. got a very makeable putt for the tie. nick: right in that spot. it's the only spot you can come from. to make a 3 at 18. jim: i'm sure bill haas knows one of them has it in there one of them has it in there close. jim: there will be a crescendo here in a moment. just a few more steps as they will shower the final three

jim: you talked about how you have all these nfl quarterbacks who are in the gallery today. from philip rivers to matt moore of the dolphins to tim tebow. maybe there's a little who knows? tebow-like moment coming up here on the 72nd. first we've got molder. and that can happen. nick: got a choice of two. it's so steep. there's jerry. jim: there is jerry west. got to be so proud of this tournament. and his contributions to it. speaking of quarterbacks, keegan bradley shortly after he won -- because we were talking about it during the broadcast, how much his hero. he wanted to play with tom brady. and then in fact he got a congratulatory text from tom after he won the pga. only later to meet him during the season.

actually wore brady's jersey on super bowl sunday when he was playing the waste management phoenix open. nick: on the 16th hole, you should clarify. jim: on the 16th. not the whole day. but tom just joined here at riviera. a new member. so there's a little tie here. nick: well, phil, can you pull a rabbit out of the bag? what do you think, david? >> i think if he pulls it out of anywhere, probably not going to be the bag. it would be more unusual than that. but it is phil. you just never know. nick: just a hard, slicing putt. look at that. 9%. jim: 26 feet, nine inches. last sunday, he holed three putts from outside this range on sunday. nick: and he's not legging it. we know that. he's going to try to line drive it all the way in to the back of the hole.
6:37 pm
jim: it's got a chance. he's done it! whoa! nick: oh! jim: waited all day long for that one. nick: a first pump even from bones. wow, what a putt. one-shot wonder. jim: saved it for the perfect stage. >> wow, that was large. jim: still is it. nick: i think bill's heart beat just went up 50 notches there, i think. already said on the green he expected both guys to do it, so that's the most important thing. never be surprised. jim: we have a playoff. will it be between mickelson and haas or will bradley join them and make it a three-way game?
6:38 pm
nick: just needs to keep this one high enough. bill haas had this line half the distance. only hit it right edge. he can just go a ball outside, hit it firm. it should just track. jim: there was some serious jumping on the side of that hill. i don't know what that does to the nerve of keegan bradley right now. nick: he's pretty focused. he knows how to just give it -- jim: can he do it too? nick: yes, yes, yes! jim: oh, how good is this? nick: got to give credit to bill haas. both guys are going to make 3. how about that? gosh. jim: six birdies all day long. you get to the final group, a must situation. and they both deliver the goods.
6:39 pm
>> what did you say, we had seen six birdies out of the 73? what are the chances we'd see two out of the last three? jim: phil was first. nick: even with a bubble. but it trapped hard. held the line. smashed it in. jim: rolling around. pounding the ground. some of the best reactions you'll ever see. just look at the background. >> that's nice. jim: same gritted teeth action we saw last sunday when he holed that crucial par putt at 12. nick: that left hook to the kidneys. and bradley. jim: kidney comes right back on
6:40 pm
top. nick: and he goes for the right-hand uppercut. fantastic stuff. look at this. looked like it was slowing down there, didn't it? two feet to go. it looked like a little something. wow. jim: that had to be so much harder after mickelson had made his. nick: that's pure intensity there. that's how you play with adrenaline, folks. jim: go sign the card. and then we'll get set for a playoff. and guess what, they're going back to 18. bill haas, you've got company. the mickelson family out in full force. going to be some playoff coming
