now it is complete coverage, it is wjz, maryland's news station. >> hello again i am jessica kartalija. >> and i am don scott. >> and here is what people are talking about today. >> it is today's breaking news out of arizona where 7 marines are confirmed dead involving a midair collision involving two helicopters, the pentagon says they crashed into each other during a night training exercise north of yuma. none of the marines have been identified by name or home town but all based at camp pendleton in california. >> in other news after 10 days of trial and nearly 60 witnesses a verdict is in in the university of lacrosse murder trial. george huguely has been found guilty of killing his ex- girlfriend. mary bubala reports. >> jessica, a 10 day trial ends in a guilty verdict.

it is second-degree murder for george huguely. it took nine hours of deliberations for a jury to find george huguely guilty of two of the six counts against him. the former university of virginia lacrosse player was convicted of second-degree murder and laurean larceny in connection with the death of his ex-girlfriend, yeardly love. >> there is no winners in this case, there is nothing but loss everywhere. >> love was found dead in her apartment in may of 2010. prosecutors say huguely beat her to death in a drunken jealous rage. huguely's attorney admitted his actions played a roll in love's death but argued he didn't intend to kill her. his attorneys wanted a lesser involuntary manslaughter conviction. >> we are of course disappointed with this verdict. but we have been proud to represent george in his fight for fairness over the last couple of years. he is hopeful, he is shirt spiritual and we look to some

corrections in what happened here. >> reporter: prosecutors wanted the jury to convict him of first degree murder, instead the jury recommended a 26 year prison sentence. and huguely's sentence is scheduled for april 16th. jessica. >> all right, mary, thank you. a judge will have the opens of accepting the jury's recommendation or imposing a lesser sentence. an arraignment begins for former army private bradley manning at fort meade. he is accused of leaking classified information to wikileaks while working in iraq. he faces 22 counts including a charge that carries a maximum sentence of life behind bars, manning is expected to face a court-martial in may, supporters are expected to hold a vigil tonight. >> a collision sent people to the hospital. so far there is no word on what or what caused the crash. all the injuries are none life
