it's complete coverage. it's wjz, maryland's new station. >> at 13 euros girl killed. now police investigate one of their own. >> hello, again. i and jessica kartalija. reagan is after two juveniles are a rest it for what please call an accidental shooting. it's a city police officer has been suspended as a result of the investigation. wjz is live on the story and has more on what police are saying about the officer's involvement. >> that officer has been suspended but police are not releasing many details as to why. they will only say that they have raised questions about the officer's conduct after that shooting. this officer was off duty at the time and he apparently knows at least one of the children involved. >> reporter: detectives say money turned was inside the home with friends saturday night. they were playing with a gun when

it went off. police say two boys dragged her into the alley and hid her body. her mother says when her dot her failed to come home, she personally questioned the two boys with her. >> i couldn't get a straight story out of it. >> the family says the story of what happened doesn't add up. >> we all know things have been. i am 911. what else can you do? somebody is hurt and you witness it, you don't try to cover it up. >> i really don't understand the story. i don't think that she is playing with a gun. >> they say she was terrified of guns. police say she was shot with a .22-caliber rifle and insist they are still trying to figure out who owns the gun. >> whose gun was it, why was it not secured, and how does it end in the hands of 12 and 13-year-old? >> police are working around-the-clock to answer

those questions. >> she had so many dreams and things that she wanted to fulfill. >> so far no word on exactly how the suspended officer was involved after the shooting. the two boys ages 12 and 13 bassist charge of involuntary manslaughter. wjz, eyewitness news. >> she was an eighth-grader. state police investigate a shooting on the eastern shores that left a four-year-old boy dead and his mother injured. it happened late last night. police say the woman was asleep when she was shot several times and woke up to find her son was opened to his chest. the bully later died. his mother is expected to recover. investigators say the boy has been playing with a handgun his parents bed. the right to bear arms is causing controversy. the federal judge declared maryland handgun permit law unconstitutional. it forces potential gun owners to

prove they have a good and substantial reason to carry a weapon. maryland's attorney general says he plans to appeal that decision. the call for executive john leopold to resign growing stronger this noon. i have another no-confidence vote in his leadership. mary is live in the news room with new details on that. >> of the fraternal order of police leadership has expressed disgust over allegations security detail was used to take to sexual liaisons and other charges. the no-confidence votes come stay one after -- one day after charges and lieutenants called for him to step down. leopold said he is not going anywhere and the indictment is not a distraction. >> with all the evidence and all the facts known, people will have a more complete and full understanding of what's involved in this case. >> it shouldn't have happened. i think the officers were very upset about it.

he has his sights set on keeping on delegates to keep his campaign alive. wjz eyewitness news. >> the candidates need a lot of hundred 44 delegates to clinch the nomination and no one can reach that magic number today. on maryland teenager will plead guilty to helping raise money and recruit for terror attacks in europe. he was arrested at his home last summer. prosecutors say he worked with calling the rose also known as g hyde jane. he previously pleaded not guilty but core papers filed this week indicate he plans to change that police. residence in kentucky are getting a helping hand recovering from last week's deadly hurricanes. groups of high school and college students have arrived in the state to help with the cleanup. officials say several of the students are from a prep school in new england while others are students at duke. a series of tornadoes are being
