super cab and a bed. they believe it is the 2005 to 2007 model with writing on the side of it. >> the victim is in very critical condition with severe head injuries. a snapped femur and a crushed pelvis. new details. wjz is learning more about a city officer's alleged involvement after the accidental shooting of a 13- year-old girl. derek valcourt has reaction on the controversial case from the mayor and the city council president. >> the mayor, like many elected leaders, travel to hear about a police officer's possible connection to the shooting of a 13-year-old girl. >> reporter: the investigation into the accidental shooting of 13-year-old monet turnage, a top priority inside baltimore city's homicide unit. the mayor has already sent condolences to the victim's family. they want to know why the rifle used in the shooting was found inside a police officer's car. >> the thought of it is quite

the william c. march middle school, where she was an 8th grader. derek valcourt, wjz eyewitness news. >> police say they are working with the city state's attorney's office as the investigation continues. addressing student violence. frostburg state university's new violence initiative begins today. the first session is exploring tensions with the community. meetings this spring will then address conference management and violence prevention. the series is as a result of the off-campus stabbing of 19- year-old cory mccore of baltimore. another student is charged in her death. the aclu responds to the indictment of anne arundel county executive john leopold. jessica kartalija is live in the newsroom with the organization. >> the aclu wants -- had county police keep tabs on his political enemies. in an indictment, leopold kept files on people he saw as potential rivals. leopold is in his second term

as anne arundel county executive. he's also charged with using his personal security to drive him to secret sexual encounters, place campaign signs and collect donations. the aclu is requesting an investigation. >> leopold denies wrongdoing. he vows to fight the allegation and stay in office. what is it? a small community on calvert county is on edge after a mysterious illness claims the lives of three people. adam may has the latest on the frightening situation in southern maryland. >> reporter: the victims are all members of the same family that were living in the same house inulousby. now there are new concerns that the illness could spread. >> reporter: calvert county hazardous materials team suited up two members on full respirators to enter the house. they're taking samples, trying to identify a mysterious microbe that has killed three here since thursday. the two deaths are the 58-year- old son and 51-year-old daughter of 81-year-old ruth

blake. blake died of the same illness in the house last week. another adult daughter is also hospitalized in washington. all of them caring for mrs. blake when she became critically ill from a pneumonia- like illness. >> it is a pneumonia, due to some germ. >> i think this is highly unusual. and that's why it is clearly newsworthy. but i think what we want to say now is that this has been confined to these four individuals. >> reporter: members of blake's extended families have been contacted by health officials. some, like blake's nephew have already been checked by doctors for symptoms. >> she's my husband's cousin. >> reporter: just to be safe, officials at the calvert county school systems have sent home a notification to parents, telling them to be on the lookout for this mysterious illness. the calvert county health department says two of the

burning car. it was captured by one of the dash cams. >> you've got to get out of the car, buddy. look outside. >> i'm good, i'm good, i'm good. >> give me your hand. i'm going to help pull you out. >> wow. the car burst into flames after crashing into a utility pole. downed power lines then sparked the fire. the two have been awarded the medal of valor for their life- saving actions. massive wildfires in missouri are keeping firefighters busy this afternoon. nearly a dozen fires are still raging in the southern part of the state. firefighters are working to keep the flames away from homes but with dry grass and other brush, it is proving to be very difficult. at least three homes have already been destroyed. the uproar over rush limbaugh's controversial comments continues. now, president obama is reacting. mark strausman reports for wjz. more advertisers are dropping out.

that sunshine. we've topped out so far at 67 degrees. not quite the record of 76. but way above average. which continues to climb. and it's now at 51. so we're sitting at 67 right now. look at all of these 60s out there. if you're immediately along the water, like ocean city or some of the areas like annapolis or on the eastern shore, it is cooler. because the water temperatures are still in the 40s right now. but compared to yesterday at this time, as soon as you head away from that water, it is 10 to 15 degrees warmer than it was yesterday. the southwest wind is bringing up all of that warm air. and take a look at this snapshot of the country. it has come down in minneapolis. that's where the cold air is starting to track. but it is still 67 in chicago. 67 in kansas city. and that is the air that continues to move in our direction. where you saw that cooler air, it will eventually move our way. but behind a cold front. and the front is not going to move our way until thursday night. tomorrow, back up in the upper 60s and 70s. then we'll see these clouds

it is 4:28, 67 degrees, mostly sunny. hello. thanks for staying with eyewitness news. i'm denise koch. >> we have breaking news in tulsa, oklahoma, where there has been a shooting at the tulsa county courthouse. details are sketchy. but it's been believed at least four people have been shot, including a sheriff's county deputy. there are reports the shooter is in custody. we'll have more on this breaking story as soon as we get it. a tough day for some people in norway. prosecutors officially charged the man who confessed, to murdering 77 people, many of them children. but as tina kraus reports for wjz, it is unlikely the right wing extremist who will go to prison. >> reporter: prosecutors laid out terror and murder charges

against confessed killer, andres bearing brechic. they say he remained calm and polite as he heard the charges. the 33-year-old appeared in court last month, showing his handcuffs to reporters and denying criminal guilt for committing the country's worst massacre since world war ii. breivik disguised himself as a police officer in july to carry out a bombing and shooting spree that killed 77 people. he carried out a bomb attack on a government building in oslo and opened fire on a summer camp. many victims hid behind walls or played dead, as breivik gunned down 69 people, many of them teenagers. breivik says his targets were traders, -- traitors, with immigrant-friendly attitudes that could lead to a muslim invasion of europe. the charges carry a maximum of

the hard drive of the computer. >> searching for a college roommate and his sexual orientation. >> reporter: but a systems analyst with rutgers couldn't say if ravi pulled up video of ravi's encounter with another man. >> that was christine sloan reporting. if convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison. a trooper arrived on the scene of a car accident last night. on i-76 in brush creek township, north of breezewood. the two drivers involved in the crash began to argue. the maryland man then allegedly turned on the trooper. police say he attacked with two rottweilers. police shot and killed darrell jerome of columbia. an investigation is ongoing. two brothers are learning their fate. police say ricky and jerome

inundated with severe flooding. she toured the flood-hit city of wagga wagga today. many started to return yesterday. the governor says the federal funding will be used to help rebuild the area. dozens of tornadoes touch down in the midwest and south last friday. and the images of the aftermact are heartwrenching. now, new video is being released of these deadly twisters. and jessica kartalija is in the newsroom with more on that. >> reporter: the video comes from the town. nupecan, indiana. it shows them whipping and winding. at least 42 tornadoes struck friday. it killed 14 people, including 13 in indiana. it also separated many pets from their owners. >> animal shelters are now trying to reunite strays with the owners. a woman from british columbia, mysteriously vanishes from a cruise ship from the bahamas.

now, her family is demanding answers. >> reporter: her sisters describe her as naive and trusting. now, faribba is described as missing at sea. >> it's been a nightmare. it's been very emotionally disturbing. the question -- the questions that we have, we're not getting answers to. >> reporter: she was on board the bahamas celebration, returning from a two-day luxury crew, between grand bahama and florida. on february 29th. her boyfriend, 46-year-old ra miscal shami reported her missing, seven hours after he last saw her. >> the way he explains it, he went to the casino, got back to the bed. when he woke up, she still wasn't there. he walked around the ship for a while before he started -- came to tell us. >> reporter: while the crews had been booked months ago, she planned to break up with her boyfriend, right after the trip.

and telling another sister he was controlling and possessive. >> don't go with him. it's not safe. you know, bad things can happen. some women go and don't come back. >> reporter: this investigator says he was contacted by the victim in november. >> and she was concerned about what may happen to her if the surveillance was detected. >> amani's boyfriend is back in british columbia. he said he told investigators everything he knows about the incident. and they have cleared him about any suspicions. a pastor in west virginia is recovering after being beaten inside his church. investigators say pastor craig tig was attacked by two masked men while he was praying inside the trinity baptist church in buckeye. he said the beating happened because he is black and his wife is white. it has not been declared a hate crime, but officials from the fbi have been notified. she may be a multimillion
