fighting ring with a second bad pit bull found miles from where another dog was found a month ago. andrea fujii explains the investigation is under way. >> reporter: he's recovering tonight. animal control wants to find the people responsible for injuring her and another dog. despite bite marks, couldn't stop kissing steven williams when he found her and took her to animal control. >> she was the sweetest dog. she didn't mind one bit what we had to do to clean her. >> reporter: she was found on richie highway about five miles from where another injured pit bull named rocky road was found. animal control said both of their injuries show they were in organizized dog fights. >> they were unfortunately a victim of either people using them for fighting or using them as bait to train fighting dogs.

another blow in the war of words between jada pinkett smith. smith wants to monitor the animal care when the circus comes to town. now jada fights back. jada pinkett smith has real star power. she is correcting what she believes is animal cruelty. the use of prods on ringling brothers circus elephants. she reminded the city ordinance banning any mechanical, electrical, or manual device likely to cause physical injury or suffering. the mayor responded. >> we have homelessness and school issues. i would love to have gotten some feedback or concern about those issues that are very pressing. >> the will fired back another letter saying in part, your response to her, jada's letter,

was disturbing, irresponsible, inflammatory, and inaccurate. the charities foundations that's supported and ends by saying jada is a proud baltimoreian who has generously given back to her hometown. the letter was given today. so far, no response from the mayor. they staged in charleston and atlanta. its animals, they say, are well cared for. big names standing up for another cause in maryland. legalizing medical marijuana. the house is considering a bill. patients and advocates like baltimore native montell williams say that marijuana is the only thing to help them deal with crippling pain. >> my mom is in the house right this minute. >> the state health department and governor of maryland do not support the bill. the governor is expected to

veto it if the legislation makes it to his desk. a furniture store is to pay a quarter of a million dollars for infesting them with bedbugs. a jury ordered the store to pay the family $225,000 for her little boy's medical problems. a sky high hiv rate. alarming new numbers from the johns hopkins hot spot. >> even surprised the researchers involved in the story. the most vulnerable population here is black women. study conducted by johns hopkins researchers. it's five times higher than urban nationwide.

baltimore is an hiv hot spot along with five other cities along the east coast. patrice henry has been living with with it since 1995. >> i had to make a decision to either live or die. >> reporter: now, she's served as a patient advocate at johns hopkins. most people fear knowing their hiv status. >> we need to encourage each other to get tested. >> reporter: that's what a baltimore city task force is trying to do. they aim to cut infections over the next three years. >> we're trying to help those with the least access to care to get that done. >> reporter: they're making it easier than ever with mobile clinics getting in the neighborhoods. >> we do it five nights a week. we work on the block one night a week and we have needle exchange. >> reporter: and people are taking advantage. >> get tested because people are walking around who having sex with anybody. >> reporter: that testing could

police were in pursuit of a stolen bus. they say the suspect ran the police car leader and came to a stop. allegedly taped to a chair. the nine year old said that he was taped to the chair after he got up twice. his mother said she confronted the teacher who said it was only a game and the child was in on it. the teacher is on leave and d.c. police are also investigating. american airlines flight is delayed from taking off in dallas after an outburst by a flight attendant. passengers recorded it on their cell phone. began rantings over the public address system said she wasn't going to be responsible for the plane crashing.

passed and even tonight across new york state and a little bit of winter up there. the rest of it is clear skies and cool night tonight. tomorrow will be kind of chilly as high pressure moves in, but at the same time, it was off the atlanta coast which means directsly behind it is a surge of warm air for sunday and next week, temperatures above normal again. the high next week is around 51 or 52. expect to be mid to upper 60s. even some mid 70s possible. winds are pretty gusty, up to 25 knots and out there on the bay tomorrow. bay temp around 45. clear and chilly. maybe 38 in the city. sunshine all day long. it will be cool. 48 degrees. but a big warm-up on sunday that's back up to 62. 65 at least. maybe 70 again on tuesday and mid 70s possible on wednesday. maybe a brief sprinkle or
