leopold's unfolding drama. he won't testify in the executive abuse of power case. mike hellgren explains while the chief refuses to answer questions. >> reporter: the council called a brief emergency meeting. after police chief james tier refused to testify before the new members. they wanted to dig up dirt on political enemies. >> maybe he didn't know about anything, but the fact he's not willing to come talk to us is concerning. >> his lawyer explained his testimony. he claimed the subpoena was invalid, that council members voted to issue it secretly. >> i think it snowballed into one big lack eye for the county. hopefully, we will be able to sort everything out and let people

by 9:00 or 10:00 and then when the sun comes out, temperature shoot up. this afternoon it was in the 80s all across new york, pennsylvania, ohio. detroit in the low 80s. that's going to change over the next couple days. this front beginning to slide down to the south. we are actually going to the region sometime tomorrow afternoon. ahead of it, very warm air. behind it it will get drier. the humidity starts coming down. at the same time, low-pressure out to the midwest and the flames heading off to the east bringing that moisture from the south from the gulf of mexico. a good chance with this from coming down and that front coming in our direction, we see shower activity and maybe a thunderstorm on saturday and sunday. it looks like just. the brain a long with cooler temps coming in so we may get some decent rate this weekend. perhaps an inch or more in some spots. east winds briefly at five to 10 on the day. today 10 to 54.
