have ended in tragedy, including in january when a burglary suspect claimed that -- >> it takes a lot of skill for officers to embark on one. it was a moot point in this case. this was a situation where the officer tried to pull someone over. he didn't comply. we pulled our parole cars back. >> police have identified the front seat passenger. first responders worked frantically to try to pull the teens to safety but the flames became too intense. and an officer was also injured in all of this. he suffered injuries to his shoulder and several burns. mike hellgren, wjz eyewitness news. no charges have been filed

extremely ridiculous temperatures. 80degrees here. d.c., hagerstown. cumberland, 82. 67 the only reasonably cool spot at the ocean. and locally, upper 70s to the low 80s. cool areas by the bay at 73. everybody else is close to record breaking readings. i've only seen 80 at the airport. in between we may have gotten to the 82. yesterday 75 in boston, 59 in national anthem tuck it. and portland, maine, is 69 degrees. 80 in pittsburgh. there are a few showers out to the west. late tonight, we may see a shower moving in to the region. right now, north and northeast winds came in from a weak front. we have a drier air mass. it's a lot less humid and the
