tragedy, the campus in mourning. two students died, hours apart. >> >> good evening, everyone, thanks for joining us, i'm adam may. the campus reeling tonight after the deaths not one, but two students this weekend. "wjz" is live, derrick has more on these tragic stories, derrick? >> reporter: these stories are unrelated. one of those deaths remains unexplained. the other caused by a hit and run driver. the driver still on the loose the campus knew -- news of the two deathses spread quickly. 27-year-old national guardsman served two tours of duty before enrolling in townsend university. >> it has been really hard for everybody. >> >> reporter: his fraternity brothers say his body was

discovered by friends in his off campus apartment. his death not appear suspicious. an autopsy is underway to determine how he died. >> he was the only brother that we could go to for everything. he would help us out so much >> >> reporter: his death came hours after a hit and run driver struck and killed ryan daley. he was crossing the road when police say he was hit by an older model silver or fox car heading north on york. the accident alarming to students who want the driver caught. >> it makes you think, somebody out there to do something like that. the natural instinct was to take care of him. >> it puts things into perspective. they are around our same age. we have a lot to accomplish and it could be gone the next day. >> reporter: both of the students that died were members of fraternities and will honest

trayvon martin. among the crowd was singer hack singer -- chaka khan and reverends al sharpton and jessie jackson. >> >> a 9-1-1 caller is under arrest after an unarmed teen is shot and killed by police. authorities say the caller said that two men stole his backpack and computer and the men were carrying guns. police say the mcdade ran away when they got to the scene and he had his hand on his waist. at the time, they believed he was armed. >> police officers responded to the scene believing that an armed robbery just occurred. the shooting of mr. mcdade is absolutely tragic. >> mcdade turned out to be unarmed and he had no stolen items on him. the man who called 9-1-1 was

arrested because he said that he lied about the call about mcdade and other suspects having guns. two officers involved in the shooting have been placed on leave until that investigation is complete. >> >> back here in baltimore, police are looking for suspects in a deadly shooting that happened just before 8:00 this evening near the intersection of east 22nd street and kennedy avenue. one person was shot and killed inside of a vehicle. you see here at the scene. the victim's name has not been released. so far, we don't have any word on arrests in the case. >> >> riots break out in kentucky following a victory against the cross state rival, louisville in a final four matchup. . pretty wild scene, officers tried their best to control the rowdy fans near the university of kentucky campus. you can see hundreds took to the street, flipping over cars and some people even left

it's 52 degrees. >> . five people are dead. 13 others hurt when the motor home crashes on a cans is highway. somehow the driver of the motor home lost control and struck a guard rail, sending the motor home over a bridge and down to the creek below. police say a large family inside of the motor home was returning from a family vacation in texas >> more than 600 fishermen rescued after they drifted off to sea in russia. they were fishing on ice. after a pretty elaborate rescue mission, everyone made it back without any serious injuries. rising temperatures are being blamed for the unplanned trip. >> >> the quest drifted off the southern philippines coast saturday after flames engulfed an a room and injured five crew members. after nearly 24 hours drifting at sea, the ship made it to a

in place. all part of a cold front slowly making its way through the state. basically, what we are seeing a few different rounds with burst of heavier rain and you see that motion. northwest to southeast. we'll take you on a tour and show you what is going on. in the city, light rain out there. when you head up to the northern parts of the baltimore county, these are the yellows that indicate some heavier rain over on the eastern shore, this is where it is all going. at this point, it is all light at this exact moment, but that is coming in our area. northwest of that, we have more where it came from, cumberland, heavier rain coming down. this will move to the southeast. we started out the day with fog. because of the cold front, making its way to rain. the wins turn around to the south and that warmed us up, but it will turn around to the north tomorrow and become very gusty. that's going to dry us out

eventually, before we get that, 52 degrees is where we are, 5 in dc. 63 is our average high. and this is very interesting because we just wrapped up march and it was the third warmest march on record. we are starting out april above average, most of the forecast is slightly above average. once again, there is record warmth to our southwest and that is not going to move our way like it did the last couple of times. we saw records from denver into north dakota and even in florida. that's how expansive this warmth is. the reason we will not get in on its because all of the storms coming across maryland is keeping it at bay. one storm here, it gets out of here tomorrow, another one will follow tuesday into wednesday. clouds start to come in during the day tuesday, maybe late. wednesday, a chance of a couple of showers with that front. on the water, winds during the overnight hours out of the
