belongings but claimed no lives. >> everyone is still alive today, that's a real blessing. >> reporter: neighbors helped each other after the twisters destroyed some homes. >> the whole community is coming out to embrace everyone going through this. >> reporter: as many as 13 tornadoes touched town in north texas, the strongest here was an ef-3 twister with winds up to 165 miles per hour. delays remain around airports. one thousand flights have been canceled leaving passengers stranded. >> i'm used to earthquakes. tornadoes is new for me. >> reporter: cleanups will take weeks and repairs longer. >> we had insurance and everything is taken care of.

. it's 62 degrees in central maryland. a sprawling mansion goes up in flames. officials say it started in the garage and the thick, black smoke could be seen for miles. the cause remains under investigation. it has 19 bathrooms and 12 bedrooms. chaos at santa monica college when they used to pepper spray on protesting

students. officers say about 100 students were disrupting a board of trustees. five former new orleans police officers are going to prison for several deadly shootings following hurricane katrina. the officers were convicted of shooting unarmed people and then planting evidence in an effort to cover up the crimes. two of the victims died. this case was the center piece of the probe into corruption on the new orleans police form. 20 officers have been charged. there are more revolutions about whitney houston's last day as the autopsy report is released. they found a white powdery

car. onto weather. this is what we have going on. a cold front went through today, not much to it. but it will bring some cooler air. now we do have a northwest wind but temperatures are up. 63 degrees. 54 in hagerstown and everyone will be cooling down tonight. we topped out at 75 for high. notice the average is up to 61 degrees. the average low is 39 degrees. we're going to be close to the average high the next few afternoons. it might go lower. over the next couple nights when the lows start to drop, there could be a few frost advisories. all right, here is our setup. here's the front that moved to the south. here's the next storm system and it's moving our way. the way the storm track is set up, with this storm leaving us to the south, it's setting up a path. for us, they're going to be close but they're going to be
