collapse. there's a $2,000 reward to find the person responsible. tonight massive brush fires are threatening a well known football stadium in new jersey. 20-foot high flames are being drawn in making conditions difficult for firefighters. working near met-life stadium. right now it is too dangerous for firefighters to attack the flames in the middle of marsh. the thick smoke forced turnpike officials to briefly close a near by road. and firefighters from 50 departments now have the fire surrounded. jefferson is not allowed in wal-mart for the next five years. she admitted today she threw bleach and other chemicals at a romantic rival. as long as she stays out of trouble, jefferson will not spend any time in jail. tonight a call for a

special session to resolve issues resulting in thousands of cuts. >> reporter: $242 million budgeted for public education including 33 million in baltimore alone, failed. >> we also failed our law enforcement officers on the front lines of reducing violent crime. and saving lives. >> reporter: $20 million in police aid and other grants, failed. >> so sadly, the operating budget was pretty much the low point in my experience here. >> reporter: budgeting for higher education, jobs and pay raises, a combined $250 million failed. >> which is really a shame. >> it's a big concern for me. >> reporter: a concern shared by county executives statewide. >> city government and school

her body was in a coffin, when the mother wanted one last look. the mother says she opened the coffin and heard her cry. the baby was rushed back to the hospital. the state reverses it's zero tolerance suspension. mike hellgren went to easton hospital and got this reaction from the students and parents. >> reporter: dennis and casey fought and won after school officials suspended the easton high lacrosse parents for having a pen, knife and lighter item currently used to fix their sticks, even cuffing and arresting dennis before a game last year. >> zero tolerance policy

shouldn't be in effect when making decisions regarding suspension that come down to common sense. >> do you think you will get an apology? >> an apolog -- apology would be nice but i don't see an apology coming. >> reporter: it's almost unknown of the board taking this kind of action. dennis and etzel had never been in trouble before. >> the state school board i felt really, really struck a blow against the county. the only thing that comes up is a deadly weapon. >> our superintendent and school board, every step of this has been rid -- ridiculous to anyone with common sense. >> reporter: it was traumatic for the students and families but they're learned from this ordeal. >> i will never forget about this, it was embarrassing. it's a difficult ordeal being taken away in handcuffs. it leaves a mark on you.

>> reporter: mike hellgren, wjz eyewitness news. >> the county schools had no further comment. administrator's declined wjz's request for interviews. a fortunate discovery save it is lives of six puppies in toledo. they were found in a zipped suitcase left in an alley. the english bulldog pups are now in the care of the humane society. police had no problem finding the owners because his name was still on the luggage. he is facing charges. a man was unaware of the furry visitor in his driveway. you see him walking and texting when he comes face to face with a 400-pound black bear. and off he goes. we would love to know what he was texting at that moment, the man was not hurt. the bear was eventually tranquilized and hopefully he

they're tired of hearing how good the rest of the league is including the yankees. adding the orioles have enough talent to compete and win. well they did compete. wayne curbey lightens the mood. a couple of orioles have heard boos. jones come in to score. reynolds contributes. that's a towering 2-run home run and it's another extra inning defeat for the o's. 6-0 is the final. the yankees sweep the three game series at camden yards after the o's had opened the season feeling good with three straight wins. the o's get the day off
