woods tracking all the rain that came with it. >> take a look at radar, saw some rain around the region, not real heavy but still that low pressure spinning around you see that moisture moving in from the north and northwesta baltimore has very light, spotty areas of showers sprinkles in a couple spota few brief areas of rain. west of us, some mountains here in frederick county, reporting wet snow mixed with rain temperatures mid-and upper 30s. not with that out of the question some of that could get further east. most activity you are looking at from around hancock to martins burg is light rain but further west, it is primarily in the form of snow from frost burg west take a look at the sat rad photo up to the northwest there you see it, north of cumberland, mountain areas it is close to freezing that is why they have been seeing snow most of the day and into tonight. still snowing in garrett county, 4 to 8 inches reported in portions of garrett county,

wjz any time. new developments in the vicious beating caught on tape on st. patricks day in baltimore, denise is in the newsroom with news of an arrest and identities of two more suspects sought today. well, 20-year-old shayana davis is being held on $750,000 bail the second person arrested in the brutal assault of a virginia man outside the courthouse this is the early morning hours of st. patricks day charging documents say davis beat the victim in the face and chest with a high heeled shoe police are looking for 18-year-old carter and 21- year-old baldwin. 20-year-old parsons turned himself into police once wjz aired the video and he is being held on a half million dollars bond. >> thank you. wjz speaks with police we will have that coming up new at 5 and 6. george zimmerman is out of jail the man accused of killing trayvon martin released overnight on bond.

randall pinkston reports for wjz his location a closely guarded secret. >> reporter: george zimmerman said nothing to the media as he walks out of sanford florida jail he appeared to be wearing a bullet proof vest under his jacket his attorney is keeping his clients location a secret. >> we have not had any active threats recently, but the concern is, there is ground throwing of opposition to mr. zimmerman's position or what they believe his position to be, that we are concerned about. >> reporter: zimmerman believes he shot trayvon martin in self- defense but prosecutors believe he is guilty of second degree murder zimmerman had to put up $15,000 to make bail. he has to wear an electronic monitoring device, cannot use a firearm and must obey a dusk to dawn curfew. >> he may have been allowed to leave the state. trayvon martin's parents are upset the man who killed their son is out of jail. over the weekend the family

placed a letter in the obituary section of the miami herald thank the thousands who showed their support. on friday, zimmerman apologized to martin's parents during his bond hearing martin's family attorney, says the apology was poorly timed. >> it was hard for them being in that courtroom and for him to do what he did. >> reporter: zimmerman's attorney said if he knew the family felt that way he would have kept his client silent. >> had i known or been told that wasn't the time it wouldn't have happened. >> reporter: zimmerman is scheduled to be back in court next month for formal arraignment in sanford florida, randall pinkston wjz eyewitness news. word sanford police chief is expected to step down from his job today more on that story new at 5 and 6. trayvon martin case is having an effect on a case in maryland. attorneys for jewish brothers charged in the beating of an african american teen are asking for a fifth trial

postponement neighbourhood watchman 21-year-old avi and his brother 24-year-old elihu are claiming self-defense in the november 2010 assault of a 15-year-old boy, their attorney wants delay because of the publicity, surrounding the trayvon martin case. monique has more on the aftermath of a fire that cut off power to thousands. >> reporter: it did take firefighters several hours to get this fire under control, and today they spent much of the morning putting out hot spots trapped in all that debris. 8:30 p.m. last night massive flames filled the sky over canton after a 3 alarm fire breaks out at a warehouse in the 1200 block of bayless. >> flames everywhere started in one part just started escalating and escalating and went through like the whole entire building. >> reporter: nearly 100 firefighters were called in to battle flames as they worked to get things under control, heavy smoke forced 60 residents to

evacuate their homes. >> i was afraid something was going to blow up. >> reporter: around 1500 homes lost power thanks to torched power lines and a blown transformer fire crews were concerned with what was inside the warehouse owned by the eastern plating company. >> chemicals they use are hazardous >> it would take firefighters more than 3 hours to get the upper hand on the flames today you can see how much damage was done to this warehouse the entire roof of the front portion of the building collapsed today firefighters spent much of the morning putting out hot spots, that were trapped inside the debris. hazmat teams and maryland department of environment will now team up to evaluate any hazardous chemicals left behind. as for neighbors they are praising the fire department, who stopped flames from spreading to nearby homes. >> the cause of the fire is still under investigation. reporting from canton, monomeek grego wjz eyewitness news.

in a horrific 3 car crash in manhattan, an out of control jaguar flew up on to the sidewalk before over turning the car cause add domino effect accident when it rear ended a chevy which hit a taxi cab. investigation is ongoing. a thief plans an elaborate burglary and it is all caught on surveillance take a look you can see the man breaking in through the ceiling of this party store in kalamazoo michigan he climbed on the roof and busted through a vent the tape shows him stuffing his pockets with cash, and then patching up the vent on his way out. deputies say this video was critical in catching him. roger clemens purgery trial is under way clemens is accused of lying to congress in 2008 when he testified under oath he didn't use steroids, danielle nottingham. >> reporter: roger clemens walked into a washington courthouse with his wife debbie at his side. prosecution is using its

europe's debt continues to pile up despite aggressive cost cutting and china's economy is slowing down after a report showed manufacturing in the world's most populated nation is contracting. despite that report, general motors is betting big on china, gm plans to open 600 new dialer ships and build two new cadillac models in china they said china is the fastest growing market for cadillac and other luxury cars. shares of wal-mart fell sharply following the new york times report about bribery in mexico. ef hutton is talking again a group of executives are in the process of resurrecting the once popular brokerage firm there is no date when the firm will reopen but executives say they will use the companies

with snow showers down through washington county maybe getting into carroll county, we would not be surprised if all of us, all the way down to the bay, saw maybe mixed rain or snow showers through the evening, scattered about all this will move through next couple hours it will wind down overnight, we will switch it over and show you, starting last night heaviest of the rain left us that is when the cold air started to get mixed in, out west, this became a snow event, with a few inches of accumulating snow in western maryland pennsylvania, there are places, 6 to 12 inches of snow just incredible here for the rest of us for the most part scattered rain showers right now, now while this is going on winter storm warning in effect for garrett and western parts of allegheny counties winter weather advisory in effect until 2:00 a.m. then the storm will start to wind down a little bit more winds are really up bringing in that cold air temperature wise only 45 degrees outside, 32 oakland, our high on the day was only 50, we've been talking

about it being so warm for so long, today, 17 degrees, below average, and we are going to hang on to this cool air for at least another day or so before we finally can kick this storm now it is a strong one, it con can tin youd to strength -- continued to strengthen as it moved up the east coast it is bringing that cold air into it that is why we are getting snow out there. the storm will weaken as it spins off to our north and leave us by wednesday tomorrow close enough for the chance of a couple showers and the wind and chilly air to stick around. a lot of clouds we may see a few peeks of sunshine. wednesday more sunshine around, take a look to the west, next storm coming our way, starting thursday maybe continuing into friday, forecast looks like this on the waters, small craft advisory, through tuesday afternoon, winds up through the duration of this storm tonight, a windy cold one out there, spotty showers ending as we said maybe mixing with snow showers all the way down to the bay. tomorrow though, mostly cloudy,

now a 76-year-old handy man is being considered a person of interest he used part of this basement as a work place and often enlisted the young boy's help three decades later, the people around here are hopeful for the family >> i feel sorry for the family they haven't had closure all that time. that was jessica schneider reporting. the fbi, searched the basement after an fbi dog indicated the scent of human remains in that room. >> fbi gets involved in a search for a missing little girl in arizona. the girls home is being searched with police dogs. >> family members say 6-year- old isabel has.seen since her parents put her to bed friday night when they awoke she was gone. an fbi dog was let into the house early this morning it appears to have found something suspicious around an entry point. few details are being released but police are treating the case as a possible kidnapping more than 150 law enforcement officers are envialed in the search vic. >> thank you.

being different. >> before delivering remarks, the president spent 30 minutes touring the museum. the calendar says april but looks more like december in several states in the northeast a late snow storm hit several states from new england the washington in pennsylvania, people are expected to get between 6 and 10 inches of snow making it hard for drivers to navigate road that is same storm is dropping several inches of wet snow on the ground in western maryland. wjz found salt trucks out keeping the roads clear. no snow here, but a lot of clouds still hanging around in our area after a very wet start to the day, wjz has weather and traffic together bob is here with the updated numbers. bob. >> wet start is right, in fact all weekend long any where from 1.5 to over 3 inches of rain, fell over central eastern maryland, still some light rain around the area now, moving through the area quickly but we will see a few more showers in the city, this evening and, to

our our northwest, 40, 50 miles away a few wet snowflakes are mixing in over portions near thurman, temperatures mid-30s it is not possible that we may even see a few flakes down across portions of western baltimore, and maybe southeastern carroll county, portions of colombia in the next two hours or so as temperatures may drop a few degrees to the west still more activity mainly in the form of rain from frost burg west, it is pretty much all in the form of snow, take a look at temperatures from frost burg west temperatures low 30s oakland only 32, hagerstown came in 43, thurman 46 at last report, we are still mid- to upper 40s well above freezing but it is possible some of these echos may produce wet snowflakes between now and 7:30 p.m., 8:00 p.m., looks like it will stay chilly most of this week maybe warm up end of the week. stay with wjz for first warning weather coverage for updates on the forecast and a
