peter: that was a don't go long swing right there. nick: yeah, it was, wasn't it? easier said than done. it would have to be executed perfectly. that will throw a bit of pressure at jason, really. just kind of knowing that he's got two bites for the cherry. get it up close. especially after the last effort. ian: nick, it's really an ideal situation for him, having been there just previously and having seen graham delaet's putt. he flows the line. it's a matter of relaxing, taking a dup couple of deep breaths and letting it flow. jim: there's amanda.
6:31 pm
she has to figure -- pretty hard for -- don't want to rule it out. ernie putts from the edge. what, just inside 20 feet, maybe? nick: you're right. it's almost like one of those putts that phil and -- phil mickelson managed to force in at augusta. peter: the bad thing for ernie is he's not on the green and he likes to use the line on the ball. so he won't be able to use it and get comfortable with his alignment on his putt. jim: you were in so many situations like this. of course, this is another factor in it, the fact that dufner is trying to get that first win. what are you feeling in a
6:32 pm
playoff like this? nick: i enjoyed the playoffs. because number one, you've beaten the rest of the field. you just have to beat one more guy. that was always a lift. but it's like match play. if i can get this up to a foot, it could be mine. jim: if he holes it it's over. peter: much more pace than last time. jim: good stroke. beautiful putt and right up there really just outside of tap-in range. how much do you think the first time around from back there factored into that putt, peter? peter: i'm sorry, say again, jim? jim: that similar putt in the first hole of the playoff? >> -- peter: you couldn't ask for any better situation. you just had the feel you had leaving it six or eight feet short so you'd know what the pace is jason is a feel player so he's going to work off the feel. it's almost like a mulligan
6:33 pm
putt for him. jim: how about this one coming up for ernie? nick: it's awkward, isn't it, peter? sliding all the way. peter: yeah, it's going to slide to the right the whole way and it's going up the hill. plus, his stance is going to be difficult for a belly putter. nick: ernie knows it's one last chance, one last gasp. jim: got to make it. oh. nick: if he'd have hit it it would have been tracking. jim: three pars in an hour at the 18th. swipes it in for the five and now dufner is ready to head to his wedding day with a win on the pga tour for the first time.
6:34 pm

6:35 pm
