>> the weapon the tsa says it found. >> good afternoon. >> thank you for joining us. >> we begin with today's breaking news. a passenger packing a gun at the airport. he is facing charges after trying to board the plane with the weapon in his carry on bag. >> a tsa agent alerted officers after checking the man's carry on bag and finding this weapon inside. police say the man was carrying a loaded 9 millimeter glock, two additional magazines, each containing 10 rounds. the man was trying to carry the gun on a flight bound for florida. they arrested the man before he could board the flight. >> although the airport allows certain weapons to be transported in checked luggage, none are allowed in carry on bagging for any reason. a maryland man held hostage

birds are back in baltimore. they're in 1st place riding an impressive five game winning streak in new york and boston. home hoping to build on the momentum of a wild win yesterday. >> not just playing well, but doing so with some unusual twists, like a hitter becoming a pitcher when the o's ran out of relievers during a 17 inning game in boston on sunday. chris davis not only pitched ed, he threw two -- pitched, he threw two scoreless innings. the red sox ran out of relievers to. adam jones took advantage, blasting a three run homerun that proved to be the game winner. the o's win the 6 hour boston marathon 9-6 9-6ing high. . >> that was -- flying high. >> that wasfun.

new president. the platform includes cutting the measures already in place. president obama called him to congratulate him and invite him to the white house later this month. this is a nationwide recall on dog food following 14 people coming down with poisoning. it appears to be a problem with diamond brand dog food. 14 illnesses have been reported in nine states, including pennsylvania and virginia. it appears people get sick after contact with dogs that ate the food. today a study that says people lie on facebook. consumer reports says its research shows one out of four facebook users have lying on their profiles. those who admit to lying say they post false things to post their identity while others put down incorrect or incomplete information to hide from people.

thunderstorms. this storm is gaining some strength, it will move our way tuesday into wednesday. oo a -- a new low is going to form along that and keep the showers in through wednesday night. there's a chance we can get a measurable amount of rain out of this. getting some measurable rainfall is possible, that's going to continue into wednesday night with that new low coming up from the south. that will move away on thursday and we cool down before we warm it back up again. for today, a mild one out there, 68 for your high, nothing all that extreme. a shower or two. tonight a chance or a shower or two. tomorrow a better chance for scattered showers. were going to get intak -- we're going to get back into the 70s. the clouds are going to be around, not the prettiest, so let's make it count.

students helps vaccinations results among teenagers. the vaccinations were only recently recommended for teens. scientists working on a vaccine to protect against new strands of meningitis say they're one step closer to success. it would protect about 90% of the streams that cause meningitis in the u.s. researchers tested its safety and effectivity. breast cancer could be more deadly for men than women. that's according to new research by a san francisco breast surgeon. a woman's over night five year survival rate was 83% but a man's was only 74%. medical practices may be to blame. women are more likely to
