board with an underwear bomb was working for the cia as a double agent. >> reporter: and al qaeda plot to bomb a plane from jenin to the united states was stopped just in time by the cia, and now we are learning how the agency got its hands on the sophisticated underwear bomb the terrorist plan to use. the would-be suicide bomber was working as an informant and turns the device over two intelligence officers as soon as he got it. >> congressman roethlisberger is ranking members of the house intelligence committee. he tells mary bubala that this operation is a victory in the fight against terror. >> we were able to get the information about who the suicide bomber was going to be, the type of bomb. we were able to get it. >> officials say the device had all the hallmarks of the 2009 and 2010

the man traveling with his young son says he doesn't know how the weapons ended up in the toys, all those parts could have been used to build a gun. and that old cardiologist dr. martin the day will not be seeing any patients anytime soon. a baltimore county judge refused to reinstate his medical license. he lost his license after being accused of putting unnecessary stands in hundreds of patients. today's decision means he's banned from practicing medicine until at least the middle of next year. >> controversy over a plan to put a natural gas pipeline through suburban communities. the underground line would spend more than 20 miles from baltimore county into hartford county. wjz is like explaining the outrage. >> federal regulators but -- and that was baltimore county rates offense and got an earful. >> reporter: :be a guest moving full steam ahead in efforts to install a natural gas pipeline, a planned state senator opposed.

sex marriage. the constitutional amendment defines marriage as a union between man and woman. north carolina is the 30th to ban this. >> freedom of speech. a jury will soon begin debating the 2010th night robo calls. final witnesses called today into trial. >> reporter: julius henson's testimony in his criminal trial is over. henson faces charges that he conspired with early campaign manager to suppress voter turnout with their election night robo call. he maintains the call used referred psychology not to suppress those but to inspire them. several voters say they did vote after the call. >> prosecutors say the call was deceptive because it sounded like it was coming from the democrats saying not to worry that martin

say that it's cloudy and 68 degrees in central ireland. the complete first warning weather forecast coming up. shocking video of a hit and run. watch as a car drives on the sidewalk and hits a pedestrian trying to get off the road. the 18-year-old victim was treated for several injuries but has been released from hospital. police say the video helps them identify and arrest the driver and he's been charged with several crimes, including assault.

and a man in kentucky at rested after admitted he put rat poison in his wife's coffee. willem kane told police his marriage was deteriorating and he couldn't take it. deborah came so she became suspicious because the coffee looked darker and green. she believes he he wanted it to look like she overdosed on her medication which has a similar chemical to rat poison. >> two major development in the case of a missing family from tennessee. this video shows adam may is at a convenience store three days after he kidnapped to land game and her three daughters. the bloggers of her and her oldest daughter were found on property linked to me is. earlier today, mother and wife arrested on conspiracy charges. police say his wife admitted driving the kidnap family from tennessee are you. >> after five days, the so- called hotdog cooker says she will be back on the job.

she put on a show as she left the jail. the mother of four was arrested at her hotdog stand by an undercover officer. she admits to strip in and says she never envisioned prostitution. all in with the jail sentence, the judge ordered a psychiatric evaluation. firefighters in arkansas this a challenging rescue involving a cobbler. this two-year-old boy got his hand stuck in a gum ball machine. it happened wealthy was trying to get out one of the treats. the firefighters to their fleet took the machine apart to help free the young boy. after all the time, you would still clenching the gum ball. >> the man who revolutionized togo's book has passed. he illustrated the dreams and even nightmares. he's best known for where the wild thing starts. he died after a recent stroke. he was 83 years old.

cooperates. >> the only thing that would stop him would be lightning. there's a slight chance for a thunder shower tomorrow. there are also chances of showers as well. take a look at radar. a couple showers around the region. a few spots picking up more moderate or decent shower activity. look at that. just to the north of town. some heavier echoes. some folks are getting some decent showers tonight. much of the city really didn't get a whole lot this afternoon. the airport only had 61 hundredths all day long. 68 degrees now, humidity high at 75%. the barometer to 98. 63 in cumberland and still 70. that's a very warm night for this time of year. 64 in ocean city and 64 in helping right now. mid-sixties around the area. some showers north of town and

south of the area. still a risk for showers tonight. maybe a rumble of thunder but not a lot of convection would be showers. it hasn't been a whole lot of energy with this system. south winds coming in the area tomorrow late in the day. tomorrow night they go back to the west northwest. that allows us to get into the drier air. in the meantime, this is late tonight into tomorrow morning. it slows down. low pressure in texas hopefully doing close enough to give us decent rain. it looks like a lot of it is southeast of us. maybe even delaware in the eastern shore for decent rain. as the front slows down, that low-pressure rides up to it as you see showers go to the west of us, it clears out quickly. we hope for this extra bunch of rain to move up. low pressure moving away. then it becomes drier and a very pleasant day. southwest winds 10 knots. they count is around 62.
