conspiracy conviction, the man behind the election night robo calls could be headed to prison. the jury, the verdict, and where julius hinson goes from here. hello everybody, i'm denise koch. >> and i'm vic carter. here is what people are talking about tonight. consultants were accused of all but one charges against him. but julius hinson says it's enough to ruin his political career. >> reporter: the jury found

hinson not guilty of charges against him for the robocall he wrote for herlich's campaign. hinson argued the robocall was reverse psychology and jurors agreed there was nothing illegal about it. >> when it comes down to dealing with voters and everyone is trying to get folks on their side, it's a tactic. you know you see it in the media every day. >> reporter: but the robocall did not receive the paid for remark. hinson says he left it out at his customer request. >> i told them the correct thing to do, they refused to do it. >> reporter: they found him not guilty of actually leaving it

off. the jury forewoman said jurors felt an experienced consultant like hinson should have known better. >> he already knew. he should not have put his consultant job on the line like that. >> reporter: he will put his word against fighting same-sex marriage in maryland. >> hinson faces a possibility of up to a year in jail and up to $1,000 in fines when he is sentenced june 15th. a maryland toddler nearly drowns left alone in a bathtub. tonight that child is alive thanks to the heroic actions of a 911 operator. >> reporter: that little girl is in good condition. the key thing what that 911 operator did to keep her alive. >> my little girl has drowned. she's not responding. please help me. >> reporter: a terrifying call

for help from this laurel home, a 2-year-old girl found under the water inside a bathtub. >> is she breathing ma'am? >> no she's not breathing. >> reporter: police say the child's grandmother was distracted when two friends came to visit and left the child alone for 10 minutes. the toddler under water and nonresponsetive. >> give her two pumps. >> reporter: the 911 operator with the grandmother through every step. one, two, three, four. one, two, three, four. >> reporter: after minutes a sign of hope. >> she's breathing. >> she's breathing. >> yeah. >> reporter: when we arrived we heard shallow breathing. >> i hope the little girl, i hope she's all right. >> reporter: a sign on the door it says open doors academy. now they're praying for the little girl. >> it's very sad. we never hear of anything like that happening in our area.

>> reporter: the investigation into what happened is ongoing. fire officials don't expect criminal charges they say it was just a tragic accident. and we've learned the little girl is in intensive care at children's hospital in washington, d.c. reporting live, megan mccorkel. fire officials say this near tragedy is a reminder that children can drown in just inches of water. justice for oscar winning actress jennifer hudson after several of her family members are murdered, a jury in chicago convicts balfore for killing hudson's mother, brother and nephew. he killed the family out of spite. he will spend the rest of his life in prison. a horrifying ordeal comes to an end for two preteen sisters who then takes his life before their own eyes. the girls are in too much shock

to speak. they're áf the girls are -- the girls are reunited with their family. mays buried the bodies in mississippi then took the girls on the run. they were found in the woods not far from mays home. >> i think they were relieved. they had been three days without food and water and eaten up by the poison ivy and bugs. i could see the weapon in his hand. mays shot the weapon in his head and was pronounced dead in the hospital. his brother talked about a possible motive for the crime. >> he thought the younger two girls were his. >> anyone that was directly involved with adam, pretty much lived in fear. >> reporter: investigators are still piecing together the details of the girl's ordeal.

>> i'm quite sure when these children get to they can speak or calm down, i'm sure they can shed some light in this. >> reporter: mays wife and mother are blind bars -- behind bars in connection with the plot. >> reporter: the fbi has asked the girls not to go out in public. agents plan to interview them tomorrow. $30 million that's how much money al-qaida double agent could earn for his tip that helped prevent terrorist attacks. the unidentified agent blew the whistle on a plan to blow up a plane. the double agent will be paid for his work. jp morgan chase says it suffered a loss after making a mistake. banking error caused jm morgan

chase' stock to fall about 10% today. with $4 gas not far behind us and summer fuel prices, one taxi company fighting back. kai jackson explains how they are avoiding gasoline all together. >> reporter: the pane is using propane taxis and they could be a big step on alternative energy in transportation -- the company is using propane taxis. the high gas prices has many drivers clutching their wallet and their hearts. >> how much did you pay today for gas? >> 3.59 and .10 of a cent. >> reporter: how bad was that? >> it was bad,. >> reporter: experts say typically this time of year we see prices rise. >> we start to see a decline for the remainder of the summer. >> this is the application. >> reporter: yet in an effort to fight back, vilia transportation has launched a

fleet of propane yellow taxis. >> it's fuel efficient, friendly for the environment and in a long term it just sustains our work force and creates jobs and things like that. >> reporter: the propane is in a big white tank in the trunk of the cab. the cars are called propane auto gas because they use gas until the engine gets warm. after that the vehicles run on propane. the taxis drivers are trying to save money any way they can. any alternative fuel including propane is a good thing, they tell us. >> anything that would reduce the use of gasoline in this area would be a good thing. >> reporter: even aaa says gas prices are lower because crude oil is lower. >> we should continue to see decline at the pump or at least stable prices through the summer. >> they've been going higher but of late it's been coming down a little bit. but this is definitely a step

it is clear, 55 degrees in central maryland right now. the complete weather forecast is coming up. a father's quick actions saves his daughter's life. a young girl falls out of that black car, her father then jumps out of the moving vehicle and scoops her up before other cars drive through the intersection. police say the 4-year-old girl climbed out of her car seat and opened the door. the empty car ended up crashing into a near by tree. a florida teacher could lose her job after punishing students with something called the cone of shame. students posted these pictures on facebook. they are shown wearing a protective dog collar. the teacher put it on students who misbehaved or showed up late to class. the teacher said it was meant as a joke but the

superintendent has recommended the teacher be fired. the likeness of trayvon martin is being used on a controversial product. a shooting target has the imagine of a hoodie the teenager was using. other jersey families taking off a jet blue flight because they say their daughter was on the no fly list. they were traveling from fort lauderdale back to their home in newark. the tsa says they were called to a gate and determined the child was not on the government's no fly list. the family declined to continue on the flight. it is a magazine cover that has everyone talking. a mother is shown breast- feeding her nearly 4-year-old son.

now. we're at 55, west winds barely moving now, barometer on the way back up. 52 in cumberland, 62 ocean city. and a 48 in oakland. south of that region, another chance of scattered frost overnight tonight. wáe had some this morning as well. 64 over in dc. dewpoints 41. some neighborhoods north and west of town tonight again in the low 40s. this morning some spots in northern baltimore county were down to 37, 38 degrees this morning then it warmed up into the low 70s. rock hall at 60. light west wind now. the winds will be very, very light as high pressure comes right over the region. beautiful clear skies over the entire eastern part of the united states. the next weather maker for us, some cloud activity in texas. a front over the frontal plains. this slowly, very slowly moving off to the east and northeast.

i think by sunday night, there'll be some clouds. maybe a shower in far western maryland. i think you will see a scattered shower or thundershower monday. a better chance tuesday, even wednesday are picking up additional rain across the region. here comes some warmer air tomorrow we'll probably get up close to 80 degrees. today we're in the low 70s. sunday, still a warm day with some more clouds late in the day as i said, but eventually this low is going to approach the region with warm air riding over the cooler air. we do expect to see at least a chance of shower activity continuing monday into wednesday. we could see some decent rain amounts in some locations. so the winds tomorrow becoming southwest. but very light winds. the day temp around 62. tonight then clear, down in the mid-low 40s, probably 52 downtown. tomorrow sunny all day long, a really beautiful day. back up to 80 degrees in the
