for the suspects. we are live tonight in west baltimore. >> reporter: we just spoke with a victim moments ago. he said the guys ripped three thousand dollars away from him. he said they were dressed like detectives and even had badges. in the 1100 block of cooks lane two men used their words as weapon when is they lied to a 75-year-old man and claimed they were police. >> they were looker for a suspect possibly inside involved counterfeit money. >> reporter: once inside the home they asked to look at cash. the victim george johnson said okay, the pretend cops left with miss his monday yes. >> i'm just hoping praying it don't happen to me. >> reporter: it's a crime baltimore knows. last summer a group of men beat up and shot homeowners during fake raids and in november

i am sweating. >> reporter: this year before the heat hits the area they plan to test its peak rewards system on two separate day this is movement the utility won't say when. >> we don't want to say because if we pick a date or two and the weather is very hot that day we wouldn't want to do those. >> reporter: the perk is that customers get bill credits if they enroll. after last year's emergency shut off thousands dropped peak rewards, bge said they will test the system when most may be out. >> we wanted to stay away from the weekend and at least give them some boundaries of when they may expect it. >> don't expect the customers to feel significantly different in their homes. >> reporter: they say they will do a test on a weekday between ten and two. the company has a little more than 300,000 in its program.

first three boston university students are killed in a car crash in new zealand. they were traveling in a van early this morning when the vehicle drifted to the side of the road then rolled over. the three died, another student is in critical condition. the students were on their way to hike a trail. a new report shows that more than 1 in 5 pregnant white women are smoking cigarettes, that is significantly higher than the use among other races. the substance abuse and mental health administrations did the study on the habits of pregnant women. they hope that the data will promote awareness of the effect that smoking can have. four people are rescued in california after their boat is swept out beyond the golden gate bridge. the tourists and a pet dog drifted past the bridge and got caught. they called the police from a cell phone. 16 firefighters including a jet ski operator helped get them
