involved. good afternoon, ron. >> reporter: the officer filed a multimillion dollar lawsuit against the man who almost killed her. our media partners at the baltimore sun report officer teresa is suing robert vander ford for $15 million. police say he lost control of his car last june and hit her cruiser while she was helping with another accident. the impact sent her flying over the side of the highway and falling 20 feet to the ground below. rigby still has not returned to work since her injury. back to you. >> thank you. the suit claims he cause the action by speeding to pass another car without checking if the lane was clear. >> another person sitting behind bars in connection with a suspected pill mill. 45-year-old alina margulies of brooklyn, new york is charged with conspiracy to distribute narcotics. her a rest follows last week's raid on a healthy life clinic where police and drug agents say illegal prescription drugs were sold. >> i milestone for the people of

kidnapping and killing a 15 euro. police say garcia adopted and murdered s-sierra lamar two months ago. she disappeared while walking to her school bus. police say they believe the crime was a random act of violence, although they think they've linked him to one other crime using dna evidence. >> three men behind bars accused of trying to bribe a las vegas casino. police say this was not an elaborate plot. one man allegedly pepper sprayed a dealer while the other grabbed a checkbox. police later arrested two others. they all face felony robbery charges. the jury is delivered in the fate of former presidential candidate john edwards for a third day. edwards faces 30 years in prison after pleading not guilty to six campaign-finance corruption charges. he is accused of masterminding using nearly a million dollars in campaign funds to hide his perry bent mistress that in 2008.

really one of air that comes into play in the forecast. not quite yet. not until we are done with a couple storm systems that should be in the area. we've got the one pushing by to the north from yesterday. we've got this from how to the west. this is still all bird o. they are all with each other. what we are going to see as all of this starts to move off to the north. that will open the way for alberto to move away and have the front comfort and eventually leave us. while that happens, we still have a chance for showers and thunderstorms. here's the latest. this is the last upload on alberto. it's going sub tropical. the thing is when they are still 35 miles per hour and it's raising to the northeast away from land, that's the way that you see it for alberto. here's a look at what we see as far as the forecast. here's that front that stalled out on top of us for the next couple days keeping the chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms. with each day we see more sunsets.
