has the latest dog mauling. >> reporter: the mauling involved a mixed pit. but for pit supporters it could not come at a worse time. parson's was walking her poodle khloe when all of a sudden two dogs rushed and a pit bull mix attacked. >> he had a grip on her. >> reporter: the 9-pound poodle was no match. >> we finally got her out of the dog's mouth but by the time we got her to the vet he was dead. >> reporter: the pit bull belonged to a neighbor. >> she said she does not know how they got out of the yard. >> reporter: the decision has sparked outrage in pit bull supporters who are now fighting to clear the breed's name and say the ruling will cause more harm than good. >> we all want the same thing,

>> this man ruined all of our lives. >> reporter: mezbacher has a hearing june 15th. his attorney did not return our phone call. the state's attorney's office is appealing the ruling? -z a california politician has been arrested after his neighbor video tapes him beating a child. this video proports to show anthony sanchez beating a boy after he fails to catch a baseball. the neighbor confronted sanchez then turned the video over to police. the boy has been identified as sanchez stepson. sanchez is being held on $100,000 bail. the maryland health department is proposing the first state ban on crib bumpers. the state began investigating the threat with them last year. the proposed ban would start next year. this cell phone video

captured what looks like a funnel cloud approaching the graduation. many people ran for cover but the ceremony continues. accu weather says there was no rotation or tornadic activity. rather it was just clouds approaching. >> that front would cause me to depart the scene. >> me too. >> they should have gone indoors. there was lightning, there was hail. that did look like a funnel cloud but no rotation as we said. but i'm sure that scared a lot of people out there in new jersey. that was just yesterday when we had very wild weather in some areas. take a look at temps and conditions pretty quiet around here right now. 68degrees. a lot warmer than last night. humidity is up a little bit. west southwest winds at three. the barometer holding steady. 60 at oakland, 73 at hagueers

town and 68 down in ocean city. locally temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s. we're running about five or 6 degrees warmer than last night at this time. we're starting to warm up again for the weekend. it's going to get pretty hot. very light around the region. here in the east to north of us, scattered showers and some thundershowers. this is pretty much where cooler air is running into this warm air in our region. staying warmer here and cooler with showers tonight. probably tomorrow all weekend long in new england. but for us we're going to stay generally clear but pretty warm as high pressure building in. this high pressure is going to move off the coast. our winds become more southwesterly. temperatures get closer to 90 or so. the front kind of hanging around the northern new jersey area. new york probably some showers may get down as as far as elkton, philadelphia on sunday night. then the front moves back, there's a warm front. so we stay in the warm air and

too busy, we have no idea who won. stan is here to tell me. >> tampa bay won and the yankees won who means they're in first place sharing first place a half game ahead of the orioles. that's who won not the orioles. it started when the birds rolled out the welcome mat for the philadelphia phillies. problems continued for arrieta. through only 4 innings he allowed nine runs over 11 hits. second inning one man on for philly. carlos ruiz. it's a nightmareish 7-0 phillies lead. bottom seven, j.j. harding, two run shot. off reliever michael shwimer. chris davis saw an earlier homer in this game.

it's 9-6 and getting interesting. but it got much better before pirates come to town. and that's how it ended. tomorrow tommy hunter starts on the mound against philly after being recalled from the minors tonight. and the minors might be where arrieta is headed. tomorrow the orioles and phillies do it again. star studded ravens news. steve bashati says terrell suggs will receive his full salary for the season no matter how he injured his achilles tendon. despite reports that achilles injured his tendon during a pick up game. he says he hurt himself during conditioning training. >> i would be more concerned if he hurt himself laying on the
