after a man is found dead in the parkville area. it looks like the man was shot in his car. they don't have any suspects just yet. grandfathering new testimony in the trial of jerry sandusky. an assistant coach who claims he saw some of it happen. we have more on these two key witnesses. >> reporter: former assistant football coach told jurors he saw jerry sandusky with a young boy in the shower on the penn state campus in 2001. he was standing behind the boy propped up behind the wall and he heard skin on skin smacking sounds. he closed a locker loudly to indicate he was there. they heard disturbing testimony from an 18-year-old. the teenager testified he began getting more physical with him during sleep overs, contact that

eventually led to oral sex. he told the hushed courtroom, i didn't know what to do. with all the thoughts running through my head, i just kind of blacked out. i didn't want it to happen, i kind of froze. >> you saw today firsthand the pain that a victim of sexual abuse undergoes. it's beyond torture. >> reporter: did you tell your mom, asks the prosecutor. no. did you tell anyone? no. did you tell him to stop? no. i was embarrassed and confused and didn't know what to do. on tense cross-examination, sandusky's defense attorneys try to show the teen changed his story and his story is more detailed than what he originally told authorities. mcquiry said after he left the locker room, he called his father who told him to leave immediately and come to the house. >> there are another 6 accusers who may be called to the witness

stand before the trial is over. surprising developments in george zimmerman's murder case. they arrest his wife shelly after she's charged with perjury. she lied during a bond hearing about how much money the couple has. he's charged with second degree murder for shooting trayvon martin. firefighters are struggling to control deadly wild fires. two dozen fast-moving fires scorching 9 states with the hardest hit areas in new mexico and colorado. a $100 million u.s. military drone crashes to the ground. there are questions about what it was doing there, just how many of these drones are flying in the skies over maryland. we have more from aviation experts tonight. >> reporter: right now, drones are mostly used overseas, but their presence here in the u.s. is about to increase.

it fell from the sky with a boom and with this fiery wreckage comes a lot of questions. >> i knew that they use them in iraq and afghanistan, but i was really surprised. >> reporter: the naval drone was said to be on a routine test flight. right now, unmanned aircrafts are used as border surveillance or to target targets over seas. mike white is now the civil aviation team leader at spectrum in washington, d.c. he says the number of unmanned aircrafts patrolling the u.s. is going to explode. they have to create a plan to have drones in american air space by 2015. >> law enforcement will be using

surveillance. the military will be using them for surveillance. >> reporter: concerns are being raised about drones sharing the skies with other aircrafts. white says the kinks need to be worked oh out. >> when it crashed here in maryland, it went into a marsh. we were very lucky. can you guarantee that you can control that? >> reporter: and the cause of monday's crash is still under investigation. back to you. >> thank you. drones can be operated by people who are hundreds or even thousands of miles away. a shocking death stuns the loyola university community. a freshman lacrosse player dies suddenly. he died near his parents' home in new york. he was part of the lacrosse team that won the national championship last month. arson investigators scour the rubble for clues following a devastating fire that destroyed an historic building. we hear from residents who

remember the building as an important piece of their lives. >> right about now, it looks like it's going to collapse. >> reporter: flames devour the store as 120 firefighters work to get it under control. >> the smoke was so thick, you couldn't see nothing. and your eyes were burning, you know? and you're choking. >> it was raging out of control. >> reporter: this four-story building is where it all fan for the once powerful retailer, one of the major east coast department store chains. reportedly, the fixtures were still upstairs. the first floor was converted to a grocery long ago. it holds special memories. >> it broke my heart. my grandmother would go there and shop. it's very sad and very devastating to the community. >> they're not going to leave it like that, are they? >> reporter: inspectors say it could take days to say how it

american people. let's do them in. >> do you think race plays a factor here? >> i absolutely do. >> how so? >> we were co-defendants or co-conspirators. nobody got a search and seizure warrant for his house. why was that? if that's not some part of race on somebody's case, what would you direct it as? >> reporter: henson points to the million dollar fine a federal judge slapped against him. his employee who recorded the robocall was also fined. >> she was found guilty on four charges, didn't pay one single dime. russell was not found guildy of anything. wasn't charged with anything, yet she was fined $10,000. you know, that's some perverse justice right there.

some thundershower activity. looks like that's going to do it for tonight. 74 now in baltimore. warmer than it's been in a while. 76 in washington. that's going to cool down. 67, 63 ocean city. some light rain and 70 degrees. locally temperatures, low to mid-70s. it's going to dry out considerably tomorrow and the next few days look just great. showers this afternoon. most areas less than a half inch. a few locations had three quarters of an inch to a little more than an inch, but they were few and far between. most of the rain off to the east. it continues to move off to the east. some showers and thundershowers along the funnel system to the west of us. that's pretty much died out. south of washington, that's where the bulk of the activity is. clearing skies overnight. tomorrow looks like a bright, sunny day with pleasant conditions. by afternoon, a lot of sunshine.
