live now with megan mccorcal. >> reporter: we want to show you a live look at the harborcam right now. the ships are all lit up. there are more than 40 of them in the harbor, and everyone is flocking to baltimore to see them. >> reporter: ships from all over the world dropped anchor in the inner harbor. >> i think this is mexico, ecuador. >> it takes my breath away. the sailers up on the mast. >> they come from different places and they're big. >> i haven't seen this many tall ships. >> reporter: and it's a great bayway to show off the city. >> it gives a real sense of pride for baltimore. >> reporter: with tourists coming from all over to see thal ships, businesses are

tonight, joule ios -- julius henson will spent his first night in jail for election fraud. it was for his part in robocalls on election day. >> it was a clean call. >> reporter: henson showed no signs of remorse for what he called an obvious attempt at voter suppression. >> he made it clear he didn't see this as a problem, what he did. >> reporter: henson defended the robocall he wrote and blamed democrats, including governor o'malley, for his prosecution. >> it was never about no voter suppression, anyway. it was about trying to work for

a republican when he should only work for democrats. it appeared to the state and i think the court felt that mr. henson just didn't get it. >> reporter: henson told the judge the case against him was unfair, calling it illegal. he was ordered to an immediate 60 days in jail, saying he tried to influence the election process. his attorney calls it unfair. >> it hurts my heart, but i do know that people like myself can always fight another day, so i'll file my appeal, i'll go to annapolis, and i'll do what i have to do. >> reporter: henson was also ordered to one year of community service and one year

of supervised pro bags, during which he's bard from participation in any election campaigns. >> and henson has also been filed $1 million in a federal civil lawsuit. a little girl gets caught in the cross fire, and now her family wants to hold an unlikely group responsible. they are holding the gps tracking group $50 million. raven was hit by a strail bullet inside her home and still suffers from the injuries today. a maryland man's help continues to worsen. alvin gross' lawyer says the government is withholding key results from medical tests. gross has walking and has a mass bind his shoulder blade. since he's been in prison, he's loss almost 100 pounds.

prosecutors are getting ready to wrap up their case in jerry sandusky's sex abuse trial. 3 more accusers testified today, describing how sandusky abused them in his home and on the penn state campus. sandusky's lawyers tried to point out inconsistencies in the prosecution's story. wjz is live. we have more on the steps being taken to open up a curfew center. >> reporter: the goal of the curfew center is to take kids off streets and hold their parents accountable. >> reporter: st. patrick's day in downtown baltimore. large groups of teens trordz the streets as police emergency recordings capture the chaos. >> i don't need no one.

it's bright and clear, 71 degrees in baltimore right now. some folks in corpus christie woke up to an 81-foot geyser in their backyard. it took them nearly 15 hours to turn off the flow because the shutoff valve was damaged. a guy in colorado has burned over 70 square miles and is making its way into wyoming. over 100 structures have been destroyed and hundreds more are in danger. the fire was started on saturday by a lightning strike.

a public service announcement by a legendary heavy metal band is part of an effort to catch a killer in virginia. metallica displayed this sketch of a suspect in the death of kara mctallonton. the campaign corruption case against john edwards has been dismissed. the u.s. justice department will not seek to retry edwards after last month's mistrial. he was accused of using public funds to hide his afire. the jury found him innocent on one charge and deadlocked on the 5 others. new doping charges are brought against former cycling superstar lance armstrong.

as dick bennon reports, it goes back to lance's first victory. >> reporter: lance armstrong faces new drug charges brought by the u.s. antidoping agency. he's been immediately banned from competition in triathlons, a sport her took up after his retirement from cycling last year. a source close to the investigation says armstrong is accuse of taking part in a massive doping conspiracy. he allegedly used steroids, blood are placements, and masking agents. armstrong released a statement, denying the accusations. he also pointed out as he had the in the past that he never failed a drug test. >> we've proven time and time out that we're clean.
