to mid 80s. the cool spot is ocean city. for the day tomorrow, we in fact have a heat advisory from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. that pretty much all day long, because of the combination of high temperatures and high humidity compared to what we had today, which will make you feel over 100 degrees most of the afternoon and all weekend long. most areas, upper 90s to neighbor 100 degrees. will this heat let up for the holiday week? i'll have a look at the forecast coming up. >> bob, thank you. in an historic ruling, the supreme court upholds president barack obama ice health care reform law. megan has more on what this means for maryland. >> the justices -- >> reporter: the justices decide in favor of the president's health care reform law. opponents say this fight is not

over yet. >> reporter: both supporters and opponents of the president's health care law rallied outside the supreme court. in a 5-4 decision, the court upholds the affordable care act, including an individual mandate requiring every american to have health insurance or face a fine. >> today's decision was victory for people all over this country whose lives will be more secure because of this law and the supreme court's decision to uphold it. >> reporter: opponents promise a fight. >> we must replace obamacare. i'm asking the people of america to join me. >> reporter: in maryland, an estimated 747,000 people are uninsured. >> reporter: many seek medical assistance from clinics like total health care. >> we are actually the safety net providers for a of the patients in baltimore. >> reporter: patients we spoke with say they support the supreme court ruling. >> it's good for me because i

back in maryland, some families are also forced from their homes because of a gas leak. sky chopper 13 is live over the roads where officials say a non- bge work struck a gas line that sent gas into a nearby sewer system. crews are work to fix that leak. : baltimore city's populationing shrinking by the mere. -- population is shrinking by the year. pat warren has the troubling new numbers. >> reporter: in the past 15 months, 1500 people have left the city that's the bad news. the good news is people are leaving at a slower rate than in past years. >> reporter: while bath mother is hard at work promoting itself, the hard-at-work baltimore group posted this as

part of their facebook campaign. in the last decade, the city lost 30,000 people, and since the to 10 census, the population declined by 1500 in 15 months, not the way the mayor wants the city to go. >> i set out an ambitious goal to grow our city by 10,000 families. >> reporter: baltimore was iraqed the 6th lampleggest city in the nation in the 50s and 60s. by the 1980 census, it ranked 10th. it now ranks 24th. analyst anna basu calls that trouble. >> the message of the data is cities that are attractive to young families have a growing population. >> reporter: the good news is bath mother is losing population at half the rate it was in the last decade.

>> it's an overarching principle. it's a goal in all the policies that we make. >> reporter: and of course, affordability is the key issue. the city of baltimore continues to have the highest property tax rate in the state. recently, it raised its bottle tax and its water rates. i'm pat warren reporting live. back to you, kai. while baltimore was shrinking, washington, d.c., is multiplying its population, now only about 1500 people away from outranking baltimore. 4 supersized cranes are now being put up in baltimore. they will help the port handle a new generation of supercontainer ships. port workers will undergo training to operate the new crane when they're fully installed. get ready for traffic jams this fourth of july.

way back up, currently 79 out to the west, ocean city at 78, 83 still in washington. the dew point is still low. down in virginia, it is getting humid. it's going to stay warm tonight. it got town 96 today. it was so dry, it actually felt like 91 or 92. tomorrow, we will get up to the upper 90s and maybe 100, but it will feel warmer than that because it will be more humid. 64 this morning. 86 and 65 are the normals. in 2010, the record was 99, and 53 in 1970. no wind here, but tomorrow, more of a west-southwest wind. now the wind tomorrow could make a difference in the exact temperature we get. if we have a due west wind,
