from aurora, colorado, with the latest. >> reporter: bomb crews safely disarmed the bombs. >> this was designed to kill whoever entered it. >> reporter: police say the suspect's front door was fitted with a trip wire. nearby, at least 30 shells described as fireworks the size of golf balls. a bomb was disabled inside. investigators collected evidence outside of the apartment. investigators are said to have a surveillance video of holmes picking up 160 pounds of ammunition. he spent $15,000 on his guns and ammunition. james holmes is in solitary confinement while he awaits the

appearance in court monday. the names are released. annny dalton. her mother remains in critical condition. >> her life has changed. i mean, she still doesn't know her daughter's gone. >> but aurora won't let her or the others be forgotten. wjz eyewitness news. >> tonight, we're getting word that president obama will meet tomorrow with the victims and family members. security is stepped up. monique griego is live at the landmark theaters outside. >> reporter: there's officers at movie theaters, but the biggest changes could still be to come. the shooting rampage in colorado is already felt in movie theaters across the

country, including baltimore. >> i noticed there was an officer in the theater and a lot more around it. >> reporter: not everyone was surprised that a movie theater was targeted. >> this has been a long time coming. >> reporter: michael encountered terrorism, but is now the director at health and homeland security. >> this kind of mass event in a consumer situation is something that many of us have been worried about for years. >> reporter: greeneburger said this could change movie theaters the way 9/11 changed airports. he said it will force theaters and other places to revamp security. >> i think it's the beginning

murdoch resigned from many boards. this is a month after they announced dividing into two companies. murdoch was hacking into royalty and public citizens. inside the central booking today, the inmate pierced with an unknown object. the inmate was taken to the hospital but injuries appear minor. no word on a suspect tonight. a man is shot in the face and survives. earlier this morning, officers found a 21-year-old man bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds at west belvidere avenue. he's said to be in stable condition tonight. anyone with information, go ahead and give them a call. one of the nation's fastest

growing arrangements and now b.w.i. thurgood marshall is getting a grant. >> reporter: it's now armed with a $12 million grant and b.w.i. said more improvements are on the way. the airport is giving its runway an upgrade. >> it's 20 years old, so you can imagine all the wear and tear everyday. >> reporter: those flights keep on coming. recently, b.w.i. had plans to update concourse c and two more airlines announced their arrival at the airport. b.w.i. said work on the runway is already underway. >> no impact on the customers. basically, we're working with the airline and f.a.a. tower and make it visible to the customer. >> reporter: angela greene and

>> the rain is finally dying down, but it's 68 degrees in central maryland. we'll have the forecast coming up. a bad crash leaves a truck dangling. the driver was literally hanging for his life after his leg got stuck under a 30-ton truck. the firefighters had to use some ropes and hoisted the driver back on to the bridge while paramedics worked to free his leg. the man did survive. a mall in north carolina's ceiling collapses. take a look at the heavy rain

and damp. it's fog forming. the rain looks like it's trying to move away, but the air mass we're left with isn't going to clear up quite yet. we'll put it over and show you. coastal flood advisories for the next high tide cycle or two because it's already fallen and because of an easterly wind that's still in effect. temperaturewise, with all of this rain coming through, we just did not warm up today at all. we had that northeasterly wind and it's kind of calming down at this point, but that's part of why we're seeing the fog form overnight. and temperatures, 68 degrees. we were saying this earlier in the show. you think it's warm, but that was pretty much our high on today. 69 degrees. that is it. the average is 87 degrees. very far away from that record of 104 degrees. now, there is another round of heat brewing. it's out to our west. that's the kind of air that's

moving our way. but not quite yet. we're still lost in this until at least tomorrow. what we think is going to happen is seem very bright and temperatures will jump pretty quickly, but this front is trying to wash itself out. tomorrow is more or less the transition day. that's because another front is moving our way. now, by monday afternoon, the chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms, the temperatures are getting into the 90s before that happens. the northeasterly wind is turning around to the southeast. very light winds. we're going to see locally dense fog and some drizzle, going down the about 63 degrees tonight and then 81 for the high because we think some sunshine is going to break through to the afternoon. take a look at the days to 91 on monday with a chance for afternoon thunderstorms and another front is going to come our way on wednesday or thursday. there's a chance for rain or thunderstorms in that one.
