area. i am don scotts and i am jessica kartalija. we have breaking news right now. a big break in a major gas main in locus point. hundreds of people have had to leave. we are over the scene. but first, alex is on the ground. >> reporter: well, done, what started--well, don, what started as a construction job is now a major evacuation here. a number of houses have been evacuated and a number of businesses. the largest business is under armor. the people were confused and some didn't know why they were leaving. now, it is not clear how big of a line was puntured her. but, gas can enter buildings and build up, the first responders

have gone indoors with monitors to find the problems. so right now they say they have found no indications of build up of gas but the line is still spewing out something. some air pressure is being heard here. it maybe a couple of hours before the leak is turned off. a number of streets are blocked up a. don back to you. all right, allen, thank yous. and now we have coverage with jeff long, jeff, what can you see from where you are. >> reporter: well, this should give you a pretty good idea of the magnitude of the response. you can seat the balt more city fire department mobile command unit where the people from the police and fire dent have gathered to manage this

now, first weather, complete forcast. welcome back, clouds are going try to breakthrough the sunshine at times today. a few people have already seen is the sun out there. but some are seeing rain. look at the radar, you can see is the scattered showers and thunderstorms just really all over the place. and that is going to be how it is today. so, it is going the be a hit or miss. if you doe get under one of these, you are going get a

downpour. last night we started to clear out and then we had fog come in. we had a storm coming from the south and one from the west and now the showers and thunderstorms are popping up again. the winds are out of the southeast and in tends to keep the clouds around where as in land we are going to have sunshine return. some of the temperatures are going to be higher out west. 81 in baltimore and it is muggy out there. still, we have the heat in the middle of the country. the schooler air is--the cooler air is in the northeast. so we do still have the chance for showers and thunderstorms. one front is moving our way starting today. we have coming up from the south and one coming in where from the
