mother was premeditated now a nationwide search is on for this man. >> it was, the worse feeling you can imagine. >> reporter: now cal ripkin jr. is breaking his silence speaking for the first time about the moment he found out his mother was missing. >> that the car with my mom's tag on it was reported and that a woman was tied up in the backseat of the car. >> reporter: police say this man kidnapped 74-year-old by ripkin from her aberdeen home. she was forced in the backseat of her car, just days ago investigators released this video of her suspected abductor. those surveillance images were taken here at the wal-mart in glen burney.

for nearly 24 hours police say the kidnapping drove mrs. ripkin all over maryland before leaving her unharmed just yards from her home. >> it could have been a random act. quite possible it could have been more than that. >> reporter: cal ripkin says he spent the night in that car searching for his mom who he calls the rock of his family. although she's home safe -- >> i think i struggle with why. i want to know why. >> reporter: a question police also struggle to answer. investigators picked up evidence from her car. that evidence is being investigated. sky high chopper 13 over the scene shortly after the eight vehicle crash on north point boulevard. 90 people were rushed to the hospital. one of them in life threatening

condition. baltimore police are investigateing the crash. a new military report detail it is secret service prostitution scandal in columbia. a dozen u.s. servicemen were punished for patronizing police. female guests were in the room after hours and dogs were allowed to sleep in beds and soil the hotel. a retired ravens star comes back to baltimore to set the record straight. days after he's arrested for not paising child support. the stand out star admits makes mistakes but says not all the accusations are true. >> reporter: before signing photographs at this year's national sports collectors convention, former ravens player jamal lewis opens up about allegations of not paying child support. >> reporter: i take care of my kids, i am not an unfit father.

the highly contested virus parvo is to blame. >> reporter: doctors are still trying to determine exactly how many dogs had been infected but that can be hard to do because many of these dogs are dying before they even reach the vet. within the past week a deadly virus has killed 10 dogs in one neighborhood. >> they just started getting sick. and within hours they were to the point where there was no help for him. >> reporter: pippin's six dogs were infected with parvo. all six have died. >> it can be severe they can kill lots of dogs. >> reporter: parvo is spread through dog feces and is

moon. the complete forewarning weather is coming up. 2,000acres have been destroyed, fire officials say it's just one of several wildfires burning in the drought stricken states. an explosion rocks the town of corning new york. witnesses say they heard cries for help coming from the basement as the house started to collapse. neighbors were able to pull the two men from under the rubble. authorities say they are both in critical condition. the explosion also heavily damaged a near by home. survivors from the deadly mega bus crash are speaking out about their harrowing trip. one passenger was killed and more than 40 were taken to the hospital. they are all expected to survivor. a total of 80 people were on board at the time one of them said it was total chaos on the
