saying good-bye. young victims of the oklahoma tornados are laid to rest. how the community is coping. hello again. i'm jessica kartalija. here's what people are talking about today. a so lum day in moore, oklahoma. the first of 24 people kill in that tornado is being laid to rest. edward lawrence reports for wjz from moore. >> as the clean up continues in moore, oklahoma family and friends are gathering for the funeral of 9-year-old antonio canteralla. she was killed with 6 other children when the tornado flattened plaza towers elementary school. she was nicknamed lady bug. she was gifted in music and art. president obama is visiting the town sunday. heavy rain and flooding is adding to the misery in moore and slowing down the clean up. >> gary butler has been helping neighbors put tarps on their roofs to keep water from leaking into their damaged home. >> you start getting rain

todashev was shot and killed by fbi agents. he knew bombing suspects tamerlan and dzhokhar tsarnaev. he confessed that he and tamerlan were part of a triple murder in walton, massachusetts back in 2011. fbi agents say they were questioning todashev when he blame violent and was shot. friends say he barely knew the tsarnaev brothers. >> he knew them 2 years ago when he lived in boston. he knew them. he wasn't real close friends with them. he just happened to know them. i guess that was his fault, his mistake. he had no idea they were up to something like that, like bombings and everything. >> reporter: agents originally called todashev lunged at them with a knife but now it's unclear what happened. >> thank you. the fbi is now checking the see if they can

match tamerlan tsarnaev and todashev's dna 2011 murder. both men accuse ed d of murdering a soldier in london were involved in previous terror investigations. a report from london where the prime minister vows extremists will not win. >> a british soldier stands guard just down to street from where a fellow serviceman was murdered. david cameron called it rateful and horrific. >> the people who did this were trying to divide us. they should know something like this will only bring us together and make us stronger. >> teams of forensic experts scoured the streets for evidence the day of two men crashed their car into a british soldier before knifing him to death. one of the men talked to cameras holding knives with bloody hands. >> an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.

>> he called the killings revenge for the death of muslims. police shot him and another man. they are now hospitalized under armed guard. officers raided homes in london on thursday trying to figure out if they're part of a wider plot to terrorize britain. >> residents are shocked what happened. the prime minister is urging them to carry on as usual. >> authorities are crediting a scout leader with saving lives. she confronted the suspects minutes after the attack. >> i could see a butcher's knife. >> the london mother said she tried to reason with the attackers. >> he said i killed him. i said why. he said he's a british soldier. >> they clashed with police. protestors clashed with police claiming government officials are not doing enough to stop islamic extremism from spreading across the country. >> british lawmakers held an emergency session this morning

to discuss the attack and security has stepped up. a maryland state trooper is in serious condition after he was drug by a moving car. it happened in denton, caroline county. he con front seated three teens in a car he suspected of vandalism. the driver said he was scared for his safety and hit the gas. the teens were moving trash cans out of the middle of the road. the trooper never identified himself. the three teens were questioned and released without charges. changes are coming to the city police department to help improve the handling of animal abuse cases. the announcement of four cases of animal abuse in baltimore in just the last week. they accused the department of not taking the cases seriously. the university of maryland is taking on the acc in a prince george's county courtroom. a judge will hear arguments in the

in today's wjz health watch, the government is launching a new campaign telling smokers to ask their doctor for ways to quit. they claim a doctors advice can double the odds a smoker will quit successfully. the government will buy ads on tv and online to promote the campaign. 70% of americans who smoke cigarettes say they do
