i been going to these meetings, one form or another for years, mostly in the joint. i'm out now a few weeks. yeah. working the program like they tell you. "make amends." found a higher power, tried to change from what i used to be. problem is, nothing changed with me. the way you're looking at me now. i can see it. that suspicion that i might snap. i can live with it. but my son... the disappointment he has watching me humiliate myself for nothing. how's a man supposed to live with that? well, maybe i should just give in? accept what i am, bad through and through?
