whose to blame. two suspects and an innocent bystander kill in a fiery crash. the tough questions facing police. hello again. i'm linh bui. jessica and don are off today. the family of an innocent bystander who was killed this a triple fatal accident demands answers from police. derek valcourt explains. >> reporter: those families want answers regarding the police involvement in the crash. police commanders say they have that information but right now they're not sharing. >> flames engulfed vehicles early tuesday morning. it happened after da vel johns and tavon brown fled from officers. they died when their car slammed

into a jeep. the passenger in that jeep, 46-year-old angel chiwengo died. >> my father is still in the hospital fighting for his life. >> angela baker's father, andrew baker, was driving the jeep and remains in critical condition. >> angel don't want no trouble with nobody. >> baker was chiwengo's coworker and was giving her a ride home. both families now frustrated and questioning whether a police chase of the honda is to blame for the crash. >> the people in the car aren't going to run for nothing. >> nobody drives at a high rate of speed for 5 miles without being pursued by someone. >> so far city police have only said their officers were following the honda but will not comment further. >> as painful as it is for us when we have knowledge and have some information you must understand that we have to balance the public's right to know and need to know with the

integrity of this investigation. >> reporter: the two suspects who were fleeing from police had long criminal records. police have not said what criminal activity they saw those suspects involved in. >> thank you. police are working close ly ly with the state's attorneys office, which will ultimately make a decision on what if anything police did wrong in this instance. the fbi is now in nairobi, kenya to help with the investigation into the mall massacre there. agents are helping collect fingerprints, dna and ballistic evidence to try and identify the victims and attackers. a terrorist group with tie to al-qaeda is taking responsible for that attack which killed more than 60 people. the group also threatens more attacks until kenya with draws its troops from within somali's border. obamacare is just days away. the president is in maryland to explain how it will work. wjz is live in prince george's

county. pat warren with more on the president's speech moments ago. pat. >> reporter: that's right . president obama is pitching obamacare to the people of prince george's county. he scored one here today. >> five days from now on october 1st millions of americans who don't have health insurance because they've been priced out of the market or because they've denied access because of a preexisting condition will finally be able to buy quality affordable health insurance. . >> the affordable care act, obamacare, has missed 41 deadlines already. on cnn's cross fire governor o'malley defended the process in maryland. >> for us in maryland, i can't speak to everyone else, but i can tell you that we've decided to be an early implementer of

the affordable care act. we know there's going to be hick-ups. >> it is at the core of a congressional budget battle that has the house defunding it while the senate insists on going through with it. >> republicans aren't worried it will fail, they're worried it will succeed. >> reporter: what's going to happen now in the next five days, people will start signing up october 1st. it's a 6-month sign up period. then after that the program takes effect january 1st. now, if you already have health care you don't have to do anything. i'm pat warren reporting from prince george's county community college. back to you on tv hill. >> thank you, pat. we'll have much more from the president on obamacare coming up at 4:00, 5:00 and 6:00. 35 students are home this morning after a school bus crash in charles county. the bus was on its way to north point high school in waldorf when a

humidity at 45%. 30.03. 64 okayland, 69 elkton, 7 2 on the shore, 73 is the warmer spot down towards easton. then we're in the 70 degree range around the entire metro area with 66 the number in annapolis and kent island, 70 bel air and columbia. moisture is keeping in off the ocean and the bay. you can get an idea of that little flow there. it's because of that low pressure sitting off the coastline. you can follow the cooler temperatures. 50s to the west. warmer air down towards kansas city and the gulf. they're in the mid 70s and 80s or so. we're not really going to tap into that air. we're going to stay comfortable. here's that low off the coastline. it's keeping that moisture moving in. as it starts to make its way inland it starts to dry up. you lose the green and just see the white.
