ssues that i have with the incident that took place out there. >> sources tell wjz prior to the crash there were multiple radio transmissions to those officers ordering them to end the pursuit. the department pursuit policy allows the chase under strict circumstances three people died in the crash. angela's move was the only survivor and he remains in critical condition. >> my father is in the hospital and three people gone because of the police and i'm blaming them. >> the passenger and angel died in the crash. her sister said their family wants answers. >> we want justice. yes, i want justice. i want to see what happened. who is going to give me the answer? >> police are not commenting today on whether those officers were told to stop pursuing the

car. megan, eyewitness news. wjz requested the radio transmission from that night and we were told they're not being released. the breaking story a multiple vehicle accident shuts down the damn. we're over the scene. it was a short time ago. four vehicles were involved in the crash. both sides were shut down for a short time while police investigated and cleared the accident. no word on injuries. investigators are putting the pieces together trying to determine the cause of that huge pileup on i-83 that shut down the highway for hours yesterday. wjz is live with the latest on the investigation derrick. >> reporter: mary only seven people were injured and they're lucky when you considered what the video looks like from this terrible crash. >> we have trucks on top of cars

on top of trucks. it happened around 1:30 on thursday on northbound i-83. >> traffic slowed down on the internet. a tractor-trailer was unable to stop and rear ended another vehicle which led to a train reaction and caused the ten car pileup. >> the crash involved four tractor-trailers and five car and one tow truck which flipped on its side. >> all of a sudden i felt a hard bang and was being pushed forward and the truck flipped over. i got -- i was shocked and amazed that nobody got killed. >> the pileup created major delays for thousands of commuters who use this highway everyday to commute between maryland and southern pennsylvania. >> the wreck shut down both northbound lanes. >> crowded bump up. it's a mess. >> it took seven hours to clear

the debris. state investigators looking into what went wrong. >> a tractor-trailer who rear ended a vehicle which was the cause of the crash. we have to look at the tractor-trailer and the driver and see if it was vehicle failure or driver failure. they took blood to see if alcohol was involved in the crash. >> to charges have been filed. a pursuit through the baltimore county. police were called after the baltimore county savings bank on eastern boulevard was robbed. the suspects took off in a silver four-door vehicle. the police apprehended three people blocks away. no word if they were the wanted suspects. the senator approves a government shut down sending it back to the house where the

republicans say it's dead upon arrival. wjz is live on the budget showdown. pat warn with more and the concern with all the government workers. we report on the latest of negotiations here. >> the vote passed along party lines after democrats strip language from the bill defunding the president's health care law. no republicans voted for the bill. >> obama care has been in the law for four years why don't they get a life and talk about something else. >> texas senator ted cruise who lost his battle to keep the health care in called to republicans to vote to defund the affordable care act. >> people are hurting because of obama care and if the house continues to listen to the people i'm confident they will they'll act decisively to prevent the harms that's flowing

from obama care. >> john boehner said he won't support the spending bill which is anchoring some fellow republicans. >> this is harming the republican party and it should start. >> house leadership is considering another bill which would delay the affordable health act but the president said that's not a non starter. >> that's not going to happen. >> an estimated 8,000 employees will be sent home without pay if they can't reach a deal by monday. wjz eyewitness news. >> more a third of federal workers won't be allowed to work. service is critical to national security and health will go on as actual. tens of thousands government workers work here in maryland and many are concerned with what would happen to them if there's no budget deal.

it's partly cloudy. 69 degrees in central maryland. the forecast is coming up. nearly three decades later the family of a missing maryland woman isn't giving up. bernadette disappeared and they're asking the state to look at how they're handling missing person cases. >> reporter: 23 year old bernadette went missing from a mall in baltimore county. >> today feels like the first day. >> the quest for justice continues for her family. >> our family has been standing by waiting for law enforcement to do the right thing. >> they rallied in front of the attorney's office asking for

names on a petition to bring her case to a grand jury even though there's no trace of her. >> there's no body. all we seek is for the state's attorney to take her case. >> never before has a petition of this kind reached a state attorney's office. they have 1300 names so far, it wants at least 5,000. >> i will never stop trying to get justice, not just for bernadette but the cases that follow her. justice is overdue for this case. >> i would like to know where he is at. >> she knows the pain of a family missing friend. her brother went missing after catching a bus three months ago. >> i don't want anything special. i want justice. i want what i'm entitled and what he's entitled to.

>> i'm gigi bar net. >> the prosecutors have tried cases without bodies before. someone who fired shots into a home police released this picture of a possible suspect's car. it has been located and eliminated as the interest in the case. someone in a red car fired shots into a house. no one was hit by a car was cut by flying glass. you might have noticed a sight. a navy balloon hovering over in the skies. kristy will explain what it is. >> reporter: it caught the residents of those far below. if you looked up lately, you may have spotted this hide nothing the clouds or hovering over boement more. >> i've ben seeing it all day.

>> a navy blimp 200 feet long is flying over baltimore. >> me and my friends were talking about it and wondering what it was. >> i was coming down 95 and wondering what it was. >> they tell us at the baltimore sun, the laboratory said it's a military mapping and the lighter than air blimp went through the dc area and can remain stationary. it's mapping around the flight don't zones around washington and it includes places like the department of agriculture. the blimp is propelled by enenergies landing as far west of the airport. the baltimore blimp as its being called online sparked twitter discussions and people wanting to know what it's doing and others say blimp watching.

1957 39 degrees on this date. chilly morning. east winds bring in the clouds. it erode and it's dryer and during most of the weekend we should have more sunshine than today. to the west that's with action is going on. north in the northern rocky's from northwest colorado to much of wyoming. portions of monday tan know getting some snow accident low pressure out there bringing some chilly air down. it's going to move across the ohio valley on sunday night. it will be here late sunday night or monday. we do not expect to see rain. it's going to dry up as it heads across the ocean. some of them have moved in but they'll clear out. high pressure to the north of us will built across the region. that's more pleasant conditions and more sunshine and the latter part of the weekend that front approaches the area, really

suffered a heart attack. two passengers rushed to happy and started giving the pilot cpr. >> several people helped. people helped give him cpr all the way down and then when they got the emt and got him off. >> there was 161 passengers and a crew of six on the plane. passengers say the situation was tense but no one panics and the copilot started flying the plane. >> they said let's do two more sets and get him off the plane. >> the airline isn't releasing the pilot's plane. wjz eyewitness news. >> flying crews train and they sub krieb to one that puts them in emergencies. a jury in california is deliberating michael jackson's promoter is responsible for

mike's death. aeg live deserve to be punished because it hired dr. conrad murphy as jackson's doctor. murray was convicted in 2011 of administering a fatal dose of the an stet i can proef fal to jackson to help him sleep. laws say jackson hired murray and the company wouldn't have planned jackson's come back tour if it was aware of his drug habit. jackson family is seeking an undisclosed amount of money. the funeral is planned tomorrow for the westminster man killed at the washington navy yard. his community is looking for a permanent way to honor him. >> reporter: the hor owe -- -- i don't want people to him as a victim. he never was and never will be. he's strong.

5-day forecast. >> a fire causes damage, and the blaze can be seen for miles. it has done some $6 million in damage so far. it's destroyed ten acres of hay and three structures. the firefighters are going to let it burn out and the cause is under investigation. a chase ends in a cash and it's caught on dash video. >> try to get him out. >> it happened following a traffic stop in orange county. a suspected dui suspect showed a highway trooper a fake id before speeding off and slamming into

another vehicle. two people in the vehicle that were struck were hospitalized for their injuries. rescue teams are pulling survivors from a collapsed building in indians financial capital. eight people are confirmed dead and they fear that that could go go higher. >> reporter: rescue workers carried the victims from the steel. a child was morning the survivors after the five story building crashed in the early morning. neighbors said more than 100 people lived here and eight people in a one room apartment. they said most were home at the collapse and many were feared trapped under the rubble. it's the 5th deadly building collapse around indian's financial capital. the result of decades of cheap construction and careless inspections.

in april more than 70 were killed in a suburb. and in june 2 more collapsed killed nearly 20. in this later disaster terrified family members are watching and waiting hoping their loved ones are among the survivors. in new york adrian, eyewitness news. >> they say it's too late to determine the cause of the collapse. a three year old is the hero after saving his mom's life in arizona. >> 911 what's your emergency. >> hello. >> my mom [indiscernible]. >> precious. while at home playing with her newly adopted son the mom suddenly had a seizer. the little boy dialled 911 and saved his mom's life. the little boy has a speech impediment and was born with a
