multivehicle crash had shut down 695 near belair road. all lanes are shut down on the inner loop. it looks like a tractor-trailer and several other vehicles. traffic is being diverted onto white marsh boulevard. at least three cars and a tractor-trailer involved. no word on injuries. we will continue to monitor this from the air and bring you more through the news. we're now into the third week of the government shutdown. toh the debt ceiling set pass in three days, there is still no deal on the table. >> lawmakers had hoped to have more progress to report after working over the weekend. now both sides are feeling the pressure. withfor a deal now lies the senate, where many lawmakers are frustrated that a big deal has eluded them. and stop andnd go

then we never get forward on a long-term deal. >> senators are pushing for a bipartisan plan written by susan collins. the proposal would reopen the government and raise the debt limit through january, give republican reforms to obamacare, and democrats ask ability in dealing with automatic spending cuts. .> it is a good template it takes into consideration everyone's needs and concerns. >> still, many lawmakers are hesitant. that by the end of the day we can have an agreement that make sense for our country. >> if we go past wednesday, it is not a default. it is going past a deadline. we will not default anytime soon on our debts. >> congress may have some time, but according to the treasury, not much. this thursday the country will have just $30 billion to pay its bills, not enough to make payments due november 1.

announced his running mate today for his gubernatorial campaign, and it is prince george's candidate. the big announcement comes amid accusations of reckless driving by gansler and his security detail. that he ordered troopers to speed using lights and sirens to bypass traffic and running four red lights. aides say current governor o'malley gave police permission to take corrective action, which could include revoking transportation service. his campaign says the allegations are a political attack. in a statement, he says --

the wind is mostly out of the north. right over baltimore. we still have an easterly flow across the lower eastern shore. that was the reason why we were so damp over the last couple of days. strong, is still rather 14 miles per hour near ocean city, 12 in the easton. those are just a sustained winds. watch out in those areas. it is a little breezy. prompting some coastal flood advisory along the western side of the bay. temperatures topping out in the upper 60s. back down to 64 this evening. clearing skies tonight, 54 degrees. mid 50sbe down in the downtown. 40s in the suburbs tomorrow morning. at least tomorrow will be dry, so we expect great conditions on the roads.
