prison for shooting and critically wounding a little -- police recruit raymond gray at the rosewood center in owings mills. he meant to draw his simulation weapon instead he drew his revolver and he said it was intended to teach them to not propagate by doors, windows or always because doing so potentially puts you in the line of fire. he contends that they routinely keep live weapons with them during training exercises. >> there is nothing that has come out in seven months and i've been involved to suggest it was anything but an accident. accident implies it is something that no one had any control over. get complete control over what happened that day and it was only because of his actions at this injury happened. >> sometimes crying, his voice strained and full of straw emotions.

baltimore police in northeast baltimore. it happened after the suspect dragged an officer with his car. lot of unanswered questions about what led up to that deadly encounter. ki rejoins us from police headquarters with the latest. lot of newed a details during the late afternoon police conference. the man shot had a lengthy criminal record. because of something called a law enforcement bill of rights, they have not yet interviewed the officer who fired the shot. tonight, they are questioning the deadly use of force. >> i have no clue what's going on. antonio is his cousin, the man shot and killed at the corner of minnesota and shannon drive wednesday night. to police, he had crack cocaine in his car when

they saw him roll through a stop sign and pulled him over. driver,talking to the he notices suspect was extremely nervous. the officer on the driver side stepped away from the car and he started the vehicle and drove off. >> during a news conference, they explain the officers got caught up in the car and was dragged for several blocks before the officer opened fire. >> we do numerous traffic stops every day of the year and the average citizen always cooperates. very rarely do you have one that drives off with an officer fighting for his or her life. >> he was most recently convicted on a drug-related case in 2004 and they called the case an active investigation that will likely last several weeks. he recently got his trucker's license and was returning from getting food with his 19-year- old daughter in the car. >> he loved his family and friends.

after an investigation found that he allegedly used in distributed drugs, had an affair, and had images of female genitalia on his mobile phone. he previously worked at two hospitals and a scheduling hearing is stated with the state board october 23. a federal air marshal arrested accused of taking cell phone photos underneath the women's skirts as they boarded a plane at the national international air or. it appears he's from maryland. he was on duty assigned to a southwest flight when a witness noticed him taking the pictures and it's recorded he admitted to the crime and he is charged with disorderly conduct. the tsa is assisting in the agency says they are in the process of suspending or terminating his employment. theate two of the strike at port of baltimore. longshoremen demanding changes to their work contract. they planned an arbitration

children as well as three-year- olds to increase state funding for afterschool and summer programming and to improve access to childcare. she says it's a major priority to close the income and diversity achievement gap. meanwhile, anne arundel county school officials say they are doing more diversity training or teachers, administrators and parents after concerns were raised by a racially biased test given to hundreds of students. a diversity training session for parents was already planned long before the intelligence test came to light that they admit there is a need to expand this systemwide. it is realize that important and it really consists of all types of different cultures. what experience did you have growing up and what beliefs do you have that may affect how you treat others?
