[applause] >> that's pretty good. you were working 12-hour days. here is the funny part. one night wynton comes in and it's about 10:30 at night. he has his little suit on. he sits in front of me, struggling to get his shoes off because his feet have swollen so he gets his shoes off, loosened his tie and he opened it up and he sat back and pulled his tie and he was going, man. man, that's exactly how i look when i come in after a day full of shows so i think you have a new appreciation for how hard this really is. it's not as easy as it looks, is it? >> it's not as easy as it looks but you always taught me about

hard work and, you know, doing your best at whatever you do. >> yeah. [applause] >> what did you think of the disney dreamers overall? >> i actually learned a lot more about the event than what i thought i knew because i had never been involved like this before so being hands on with all the different dreamers listening to their stories, some of the dreamers have never left their city, never left their state and to see them on like a safari and like see all the different animals they've never seen and go out to these different workshops and experience new stuff, it was kind of cool to see like the light bulb click. >> you know, you looked pretty good out there. you looked good. i used to be that size. you look real good. [applause] so ashley, thomas, why did you all want to be a part of the dreamers academy? >> well, i've always had big dreams in life and at the age of nine, i was diagnosed with type one diabetes but i want to make it known that like i can overcome anything in life and still follow my dreams with diabetes so i knew when i found out about it, that they developed dreams and make them happen. i knew i wanted to apply.

>> okay. >> a pstor at my church told me about the disney dreamers academy and i knew absolutely nothing about it. so when i got home that night, did i a little bit of research and i found out it was a program geared towards helping young people build their dreams and accomplish their dreams and it inspired me to apply for the disney dreamers academy. >> so i'll tell you what, folks. let's take a look at ashley and thomas' experience. >> my name is thomas and i'm here in walt disney world and i cannot wait to be a part of the disney dreamers academy >> hi, i'm ashley. i'm so excited to be here. i can't wait to see what this weekend brings. i'm most looking forward to working with professionals in the fields that i want to pursue in life. >> you're going to be writing, you're going to be interviewing, you're going to be reporting. >> my assignment for my journalism is to cover photos

dive, just seeing how much fun they had and building the rollercoaster, i realize that i want to become mechanical engineer. and just the entire experience. i want to take that back to my community so that we can grow as a community. >> right.
