. manhunt aftermath. florida police suspect more arrests after tracking down two escaped killers. investigators suspect it was in-house. the two killers who escaped from a florida prison made their first appearance in court todayment they used fake release documents to get out but authorities captured them last night and officials suspect them of having inside help forging those court papers. we have the latest. >> reporter: now that convicted murderers joseph jefrngist and charles walker are back behind bars florida prison officials are trying to figure out who helped them forge court

documents. >> there is speculation, and under line speculation, that there was a source where for a certain sum of money, that these documents could be constructed for $8,000. >> reporter: authorities say a close associate of jenkins and walker provided key information that led to their arrest in a panama city florida hotel. they're promising more arrests. >> we'll be backtracking to those who carried out this fraud. >> reporter: close relatives of the convicts are not considered suspects. >> i was, you know, saying this is a modern day miracle. >> reporter: pearson says this has been a terrible situation. >> disappointing is not the word. the bottom fell out. >> reporter: the florida corrections department has added

an extra layer of security to verify the early release of prisoners. . >> police say jenkins and walker were waiting for a ride in panama city that would take them out of the state. stealing ammunition that belonged to a u.s. air marshal. two juveniles and brandon reef were arrested. they were spotted in a parked car. police searched the vehicle and found 70 boxes of ammunition, box cutters, and auto parts. a deadly accident on the pennsylvania maryland line claims the lives of five people. police say two motorcycles collided head on with an suv in waynesboro, pennsylvania, an hour from baltimore. four of the victims were on the bike and the other two were in the suvs. investigators say the suv

crossed the center line causing the accident. speaking of the roads, maryland state police want drivers to move over and starting tomorrow troopers will be out enforcing that law. the dangers they face on the street. >> reporter: the move over law went into effect three years ago and troopers are finding themselves in harm's way on the road. this frightening video shows what happened when a maryland state trooper is nearly killed because a driver failed to move over. >> i've been hit by a car. >> reporter: david avilo survived the accident but was left with many complications. >> doesn't seem like the light at the end of the tunnel but i'm able to walk. >> reporter: that was last year. but just this month another trooper, jack lynn klein, was hid by a driver who failed to move over as she walked along the shoulder to assist another officers in a traffic stop. >> she broke the rear windshield and hit that k-9 cage inside the

car there. she fell off into a ditch. >> reporter: the move over law took effect in 2010 and still officers' lives are threatened. this has maryland state police saying enough is enough. >> with these two instances occurring we think it's an opportune time to make the public aware of the necessity of this law. >> reporter: on monday troopers will be extremely vigilant for drivers who fail to move over for emergency vehicles with the lights activated. disobeying the move over law will not only add points to your license but cost you, up to $750. >> if they're unable to move over safely we're asking them them to move over to a safe and prudent speed. >> reporter: drivers beware.

. >> and that move over initiative starts tomorrow. man is arrested for driving under the in flunsflewens in anne arundel county county and his kids were in the car. the officers pulled him off and said he smelled marijuana. he was arrested for dui and drug charges. thinks young children were in the -- his young children were in the car at the time and those kids are now with family members. after a terrifying home invasion a glen burnie couple received a generous gift. today a member of the community donated a television to the couple. the man and his girlfriend were roughed up by three men who stole their property. anne arundel county police helped install the television. the couple said they were very excited. same-sex couples can legally wed in the state of new jersey

in less than 30 minutes which meant many preparations over the weekend. but for some couples the process was thrilling and confusing. a moment 23 years in the making as this couple applies for a marriage license in jersey city. >> is this true? >> yes. >> put your hand down. >> friday the state supreme court blocked the governor's attempt to not have these marriages performed. >> i live the same life-style as a man and a woman. >> and this weekend municipal building across new jersey added extra officers for the licenses. >> we feel our marriage is validated in the eyes of the state. >> ceremonies were scheduled to begin first thing monday at 12:01. >> it's exciting. >> but some couples say they

could not get a marriage high sense because the state did not give the clerks enough instruction. new jersey haw requires couples wait three days between obtaining a license and getting married. >> the symbolic part of it is we wanted to do it here in new jersey where is our home. >> a team of volunteer lawyers is trying to find judges who will waive that three-day waiting period for couples. the obama administration hired more experts to solve the glitch in the healthcare site. the site has had technical details since it launched three weeks ago. prices at the pumps are dropping after weeks. as gigi barnett explains, experts believe prices will

continue falling. >> reporter: 41 days and counting. gas prices have been on a steady decline. drivers are comparing the numbers. >> i come to this corner and i look to see who has the lowest price. >> reporter: and filling up more. >> some of the cars that my wife has, when it was over $4, it was a headache to fill up. now it's getting easier. >> reporter: aaa says over the last month and a half prices have fallen by more than a quarter and the agency believes the slide will only continue until the end of the year. >> we expect that gas prices will continue to remain steady and in fact decline a little more as we're seeing very weak demand, supplies are plentiful. >> make it go down to where it was when i was in high school, 70 cents a gallon. >> reporter: for some drivers it's cause to celebrate and others are skeptical. >> cheap gas, i don't think we're going to get that any more.

>> reporter: another factor causing it to drop is the fuel itself. gas stations have switched over to the winter blend which are generally cheaper than those used in the summer months. i'm gigi barnett, wjz eyewitness news. . >> and here is a closer look at what you're paying at pump right now. $3.30 for a gallon of regular, down a dime from a month ago when drivers were paying $3.40 a gallon. the laurel police department gets a four legged guest. officers rescued a male pit bull it was left abandoned in an apartment building. such a sweet dog. that dog survived on plastic containers of baby food. according to the landlord the tenant left the apartment a week ago and never came back. now the pup is getting cosy with officers while a pit bull rescue group looks for a permanent home. maybe you're interested. coming up on wjz's eyewitness news, raidzing razing

. it's clear and 44 degrees in central maryland right now. the complete first warning weather forecast is coming up. firefighters in australia struggle to contain wildfires that are burning across the region. so far the fires have killed one man, destroyed 200 homes, and damaged more than 100 other buildings. 12 of the 56 fires continue burning out of control. a state of emergency is in effect across new south wails. new video services of the massive train accident in argentina. this shows the train at the moment of impact. you see people running away.

one witness reports the train appeared to have trouble braking at its two previous stops. the conductor of the train remains hospitalized and is in police custody. authorities in california investigate the deaths of two maintenance workers on a bay area rapid transit line. transit officials say the workers were investigating a dip in the tracks when a train on a routine maintenance run hit them. tonight union members lit candles and carried signs of remembrance for the two workers who died. >> our hearts and prayers go out to the families of two workers who have just been killed on the b.a.r.t. tracks. >> the accident happened in the midst of a strike by members of bart's b-a-r-t's union. the train was being run by a computer. a couple in greece is behind bars after posing as the parents

of a 4-year-old. police found a little girl, this little girl after searching the home of a gypsy couple. they claim the child was their daughter but a dna test proves she is not. she is not biologically related to them. the couple is charged with and abduction. police are searching for information on who this child is. here at home a local foundation teaches young people how to identify the warning signs of a dangerous relationship and it's doing this through a film. the foundation was created the memory of cockeysville native laura love. >> reporter: 60 minutes on tape with one big message: stop relationship violence. >> the whole story line is broken around these four escalating phases of relationship violence. >> reporter: and they're as real as they come. >> where suddenly the perpetrator in this case doesn't

allow the victim to make choices. we focus on a lot of controlling issues. >> reporter: the one love foundation is the driving force behind this video. until yardley's publicized murder by her boyfriend dating violence is something women didn't think would happen to them. now they're spot lighting the issue. >> the biggest goal is people are ignoring the signs and catching them in time. >> reporter: studies show one in three women will be affected by relationship violence in her lifetime. one in four during college. and with stats like these the foundation is hoping that the educational film will drive young people to their smart phones. >> the one love foundation developed an app and it's free. >> reporter: love's family told us in february it shows if someone is in a dangerous relationship. >> make people look at relations

>> it's fall. >> it really, really is. and we're going to get down to the upper 30s for a lot of us tonight. times are achanging for us and the leaves are, too. take a look at our current temperatures. we are sitting in the 40s across the board. right now 44 degrees at bwi marshall and because of these cool temperatures and really chilly temperatures we do have a frost advisory in effect starting at 2 a.m. tonight. that's going to stay in effect through 9 a.m. tomorrow morning for temperatures ranging from 33 to 36 degrees from carroll county all the way over into portions of western maryland. and that dips down into portions of virginia and west virginia as well. and it's all thanks to the winds and the clear skies that we have. winds are on the light side and that in combination with clear skies is going to allow a lot of the energy to move back up into space. so we'll lose a lot of the heat and cool down very, very

quickly. the big picture on satellite and radar show this next system headed our way. that is going to continue to push towards the mid-atlantic but it's not going to arrive until about late tuesday into wednesday and it's going to bring us a little chance of rainfall as we head that way. for the meantime monday, high pressure is in control. we'll see widespread 60s and then that cold front will head our way and it's going to bring very, very chilly temperatures as we head into the middle of the week. so i'll take you through the next couple of days. chilly air moves through behind the cold front starting tuesday afternoon and evening. we'll have a chance of rain in the forecast. 30% chance of rain. that had carry us into wednesday as well. your bay temperature around 65 degrees. winds out of the south tomorrow between 10 to 15 knots out this on the bay. here is what you can expect tonight. 39 degrees, chilly, and clear skies. 66 tomorrow, pleasant with plenty of sunshine. a beautiful day out there. the next five go like this:

. everyone was onto edge of their seat watching that ravens steelers game. >> it is just a game, but it affects the mood of your city especially with the outcome today. it is a long football season, too early to panic. but terrell suggs has declared what he calls a state of emergency. two straight defeats now. both heart breakers and this most recent one hurts because it comes at hands of the rival

steelers. pittsburgh has been a place for some classic battles between the two teams. sunday was another one. touchdowns tough to come by. pittsburgh finds the end zone, shovel pass to miller, 7-0 pittsburgh with the heed. the ravens vowed to improve their running game but once again yards are tough to come by. pierce dropped for a loss. the ravens managed two field goals in the first half. fast forward to the third quarter when the ravens get tricky with an onside kick but justin tucker didn't kick it far enough and he takes a shot to the head. the pittsburgh steelers get a field goal out of this. down by seven, late fourth quarter, flacco with a play action fake and then a rollout. he'll hit clark in the end zone for a touchdown. just in time. it tied at 16-16, two minutes to

go. pittsburgh then employs a two minute drill. the steelers go into field goal position. suisham hasn't missed a kick all season, 42 yards away and the time expires, 19-16 defeat for the ravens, more painful because it's a loss to their rivals. >> yeah, absolutely. you never want to lose to pittsburgh. but it happened and, you know, we're a bunch of men, you know, we'll -- everyone will take responsibility and we won't point the finger, we lost as a team. >> disappointing outcome. in the end you have to find a way to win the games. we've lost close games this year. we have to find a way to win them. >> a lot of games to g we have to continue to look forward and continue to be confident and like i said it's a dog fight. it always is. try to win as many games as we can. >> it is a fourth straight game between the ravens and steelers
