police want to know who helped them gain their release. >> an underlying speculation where there was a source for a certain sum of money these documents could be constructed. >> police say they're presuing a tip of someone. both inmates were serving life sentences for murder. an accident above the pennsylvania line leads to the deaths of five people. police say it was a head-on collision involving two motorcycles and an suv that happened an hour from here. four people were on bikes, two others were in the suv. investigators say the suv crossed the center line and caused the accident. starting today maryland state police are cracking down on drivers who don't move over when emergency vehicles are on their side of the road. wjz and mike schuh are live outside state police head quarters. good morning, mike. >> reporter: good morning, don. the law has been on the

it is drivers are still putting them in danger. >> it's time to make the public aware of the necessity of the law. >> troopers will be extremely vigilant, looking for drivers who fail to move over one lane for stopped emergency vehicles with lights activated. disobeying that law will add point to you license and cost you between $150 and $750. >> if they're unable the move over slow down to a safe speed. >> reporter: it could mean an addition of three point to your license also. >> thank you. we're told special enforce. ope ment operations will be underway today. three people are under arrest in anne arundel county charges with stealing dozens of boxes of ammo from the air marshall program. 18-year-old brandon tree was driving suspiciously. after they pulled

him over with a 15 and 16-year-old they found 70 boxes of ammo, bolt cutters and a flashlight. he admitted to breaking into a trailer and taking the ammo. a local landmark is getting a facelift. according to our media partner the baltimore sun the city's washington monument will undergo $5 million on repairs on its pillar and pedastol. they hope to have it reopened by july 4th of 2015. a bitter pill to swallow for ravens fans as they fall to the steelers in pittsburgh. now players say it's time to make changes. here is sports director mark viviano. >> good morning. well, it is a long football season, too early to panic. terrell suggs declared a state of emergency. two straight defeats for the ravens, both of them heartbreakers. this one hurts more because it comes at the hands of the steelers.

>> 41 days and counting gases have been on a steady decline. >> i come to this corner and look and see who has the lowers price an it's usual will i this -- usually this gas station. >> my wife's car demands premium gasoline. when it was over $4 it was a headache to fill up. now it's getting easier. >> aaa says over the last month and a half prices have fallen by more than a quarter. the agency believes the slide is only going to continue until the end of the year. >> we expect that gas prices will remain steady and decline more as we're seeing weak demand, supplies pentful. >> they can go back down to where they were when i was in high school. 70 cents a gallon. >> for some drivers it's cause to celebrate. others though are still a little skeptical about the drop. >> in terms of what americans

call cheap gas we're not going to get that. >> gas stations are switched over to the winter blends which are generally cheaper than those used in the summer months. i'm gigi barnett, wjz eyewitness news. >> in today's wjz pump watch report. $3.32 for gallon on average. that's a noticeable drop from a month ago when we were paying $3.43 gallon. turning to sports, it was a late night in indianapolis and the colts welcomed peyton manning back to town. after falling behind by 19 in the 3rd manning and the broncos came roaring back, cut the lead to 6 points but got no closer. the colts hand the broncos their first loss of the season. 39-33 was the final in indianapolis. the ravens are trying to shake off a loss to the steelers in pittsburgh. now has the team heads into its bye week players
