we start with breaking news. brevard fire rescue says that's a tractor trailer on fire along 95 south. that's in the scotts moor area. at buoyant, it appears the semi exploded. intensifying those flames. we're told it was hauling cars when it caught on fire. brevard fire rescue tweeted out this picture. you can see smoke billowing out there. investigators told us no one was hurt. we haven't heard what sparked the fire. we have a live look at the

much calmer at this point. open. over. we'll be staying on top of this. they come in. >> more breaking news, the state just executed this man for the murders of three women. in the last hour, oscar ray bullen was put to death by lethal injection. they denied his request for a stay of execution. he was convicted of killing three women from the tampa bay area back in 86. now to the new clues. i'm matt austin. >> and i'm lisa bell. police are putting up these pictures of what they think will have key information about this murder investigation. it happened on december 23rd outside kim's food market. that's at west third street in

the first in sacramento. the investigators arrested an arack key citizen that traveled to syria to fight alongside terrorist organizations and then lied about it to investigators. the second arrest is in houston where our sister station is reporting a man was arrested in connection to that sacramento case. that case involved plotting to get people currently in the united states to move over seas. we'll have an update on both of these air forces in the morning news at five. also developing a tragic situation in lake county. an elderly man died after a case of road rage. he died after his car veered into oncoming traffic and hit a tree near high way 27 and vine street in leesburg. >> reporter: according to the family, they were told he got into a road rage incident just

of his vehicle. he ended up uh jumping back in his vehicle. sped the roadway. veered in oncoming traffic. zooming all the way in to this tree here. bystanders standing by trying to save his life. >> >> i don't know what the incident was, what upset him, but he does have a temper. >> reporter: paul senior said his younger brother struggled with heart issues. and thinks that's what ultimately caused his brother's death before slamming into this tree. here's cell phone video taken by a witness just moments after the crash. >> he had a heart attack. and it just shows you that road rage or any kind of rage, if you got health problems, it's not good for you. >> reporter: leesburg police say the road rage incident took place just moments before the crash. howard got out of his vehicle when another car cut him off.

police told reed his dna matched that of houser's home. he is charged with second degree murder. an osceola county teen. he killed david gerero just for fun. he also killed another, erik, in july of 2016. he's also suspected in several kissimmee. an osceola county judge will afternoon. news 6 will be in the courtroom, we'll let you know what happens at click orlando, and news 6 at 4:00. a family and his one-year-old son. the woman who caused the crash will not be charged. this was the scene three months ago at the corner of state roads

jose and his son were both killed. today the state's attorney's office decided not to charge the driver. they said the evidence was not there to convict her of any crime. just negligence. they said gothry could be sited with a traffic violation. the family said that's frustrating. >> it's not about going to jail or not. i feel somehow a little bit of compassion for this person. she's 75. she's a retired schoolteacher. i feel compassion. but when i was told nothing is going to happen, just a traffic fine, that blows my mind. news 6 could not track her down to ask her for a comment on the state's attorney's decision. at the very least, they would like an apology. just in, cold play's going to have to share the stage at the superbowl. >> the superstar diva that's joining the halftime show. then heart stopping video on the

a 53-year-old woman gave birth to her own granddaughter. really incredible. the set up for a surrogate isn't typical. but it's one the family said led to the miracle of life. >> reporter: kelly suffered three miscarriages. then, her mother offered to be her surrogate. >> we talked it up. and we'd be tested and it's a miracle that happened. >> reporter: 54-year-old tracy thompson gave birth to her own grandchild yesterday. >> my lovely mom gave me the greatest gift i could have in my life. >> reporter: thompson said being pregnant with her granddaughter was not so easy. >> the second trimester was great.

american girl has a history of embracing diversity. she has started this change.org petition. just last week t brand started selling a doll with a diabetic kit all thanks to this 11-year-old girl with wisconsin. she got more than 4,000 signatures on her petition. she hopes hers would do the same. >> are your girls into american girls? yes, they have them. and all the clothes that go with them. too. >> i kept them all away from mine until the last child. and boom we're in. chief meteorologist tom sorrells is tracking some fog for us. >> big changes going on. we got the fog and rain tomorrow. and cold air coming back.

beautiful storm tonight. starting out with our guitar man. that's a cool shoot. high tide, brave bicyclist running between the fence line, the high tide, and right into the fog. i like that a lot. this one from our man karl down south. he has a high-rise and obviously the fog is here. thank you karl, yes. yes it is. visibility of orlando is half a mile now. sanford. but the fog comes and goes and moves around. act. i promise you will. visibility in daytona beach is worse now than it was a few minutes ago. it was half a mile of visibility. now three tenths of a mile. it's really rough. 2.5 mile visibility in the villages. you get the picture. we're all battling the fog first thing in the morning. it's going to get worse obviously before it gets better.

bridges bright if and early. at 6 o'clock in the morning, it's at its worse. and 10 o'clock it's gone. there's your fog story. now, what about the rain? we watch the scattered showers off the east yesterday. funnel right down to mel verb. tonight the rain's coming from the different direction. here come s the light scattered showers in marion county and look at how much rain. all of that has to come right over central florida. it's not going to do it overnight. it's going to do it in the next 36 hours. light rain comes in in the next couple hours. but the heavy stuff holds off. so disney world ten k tomorrow morning, should be able to run through the patchy fog without too much fanfare. most of you will be finished by the time the sunrises at 7:19. we're 60 in orlando, 60 in leesburg. we're pretty chilly, cool enough to touch out the fog.

wow that was the call made to police after drivers called 911 on new year's day. video shows cops boxing the driver in as they say he refused to pull over for another half a mile. once stopped, they yanked the man out of his car, they found a cup of booed in the 56-year-old's car, he is charged with a dui and fleeing police. now to stories making the rounds on social media. a reporter got more than he bargained for when he volunteered to test a protective vest. take a look at what happened. you didn't miss, your vest missed. the reporter was stabbed in the back with a commando knife during this demonstration. he received a surface wound that needed some stitches. that vest is part of a new line of discrete protective clothing.

the bucks didn't break up with love vi smith in person. he was fired over the phone. the seems to be moving on quickly. and two years in tampa bay is just not good enough. as the surprise of the firing moves away. the surprising thought is that the bucks already zeroed in on his replace ment. is it offensive coordinator did i recollect cutter -- cutter. he often credited the guy with his success. head coach and vacancies have expressed interest. light addressed the media today. >> there's a lot of quality football coaches that are going to be available. there's been a lot of interest already, just in the last few hours. dirt cutter is definitely one of those. he'll be a strong candidate. i've had a chance to work with

just how much? they're about to hire their fourth coach in six years. hired just over one month ago to help reenergize the football program. scott said the game plan is to play fast. he had to work fast since he was hired. the program was behind in its recruiting. but frost secured commitments from talented local players and transfers. his coaching staff is almost complete. the defensive coordinator is brought on this week. frost is also met with all the returning players. i caught up with the head coach today. >> i think the guys on the team are hungry for a new way of doing things. it's a fresh start for a lot of guys. i want a lot of these guys to find thinker confidence and their love for the game again. we'll see where we can get in the first year, and year 2 and 3. i know there's a lot of potential here and people pulling him in the same ex-doctor. eight more months to get ready for a schedule that includes these guys.
